Crafting is terrible

Nope. New to TWW. I believes it meant for engineers, or something. Because, even if you use the overload ability on it, you won’t be able to mine all the drops before they despawn. Its barking stupid.

No. It’s much harder now, and more frustrating. It’s not fun. Why would I do something that’s not fun?

I tried it in DF, so it’s not like I’m just talking about it without knowing how it works. I did every prof in DF with my alts, and I hated it. Nothing of note has changed in TWW, so why bother?

I’ve sold all the mats I’ve picked up (though I don’t need the gold for anything), aside from enough herbs to make a few health potions and an Alchemist Stone for my main (though I will say that I appreciate that Blizzard reverted the idiotic change to the Alchemist stone from DF and it’s now giving the 40% bonus to healing that it had for years before that; the ONLY good thing I have to say about crafting now).

I’m not unlearning crafting profs on my characters and probably never will, because I still have hope that things will change for the better.

It’s definitely worth doing but it’s so damn convoluted and tedious for no reason.

That is one hell of an accompplishment. I couldn’t stand the crafting system in PoE.

getting scammed is a player issue, as seen by people still getting scammed with the new system.

I mean you still need the crests I just tire of taxes on my game play

Same, however small that hope actually is. It took a decent amount of time, and materials, to level professions of old. I still have to go back and craft the hammers from TBC for mogs.

Good for you I guess.
I have it so I can craft gear for myself, my characters and for other people.

I really like the crafting system so it is another thing we can dedicate as players.

It is important. I craft /recraft every day at least 30 items (in a day I’m not playing too much).

Well, it is harder, but it is not frustrating.
It is pretty rewarding actually.

the previous system you had to trade people the items and trust they would craft it for you. Or buy in the AH already crafted.

And people would simply flood the AH with crafted gear that making any profit as a crafter was nearly impossible without TSM premium. Not to mention that you had to unload imensurable amount of gold to be a relevant crafter. That is gone.

Well I guess some people may not have fun but then again it is optional.

I have few professions, I don’t have the time or inclination to have every single profession. I’ve had so much fun and made so much gold in DF and now again in TWW.

Well I’ve few things I think they can improve like with patron orders, but the system itself is really good, we can only improve from here. Going back would be killing crafting in the game.

Not when you trade items to other people and expect them to behave correctly.

The current system prevents being scammed, you set the quality, you provide the mats.
The other player do not have the option to “scam” you.

The previous system, yeah, and it was one of the reasons they changed the system – to remove all the tickets about trading scam.

I’ve been playing since 2004 and have never gotten scammed by another person. If someone gets scammed, thats on them, not the system.

So, basically, removing all accountablility from both players in said interaction? Got it.

I don’t craft (unless it’s war)

pats head of course you don’t. who’s a good boy?

I don’t! I can prove it

Not often I find myself agreeing with a Blood Elf, but this is accurate. I spent 5 hours leveling Classic, TBC, Wrath, and Cata Engineering on an alt a few weeks ago. MoP was slower since the trainer was WAY out in Valley of the Four Winds, and Draenor is taking far too long with the fancy little parts you get from the Eng shack in the garrison. After that Legion - DF required questing for schematics. On my main, it took me 2 days to level it up through MoP, 2 months to get it up through BfA, and I am STILL working on SL, DF, and TWW. Kinda ridiculous.

No, creating a system that allows you to not have to be concerned about the whole past of that given player and whether they will or not scam you with the items and have your items sequestered until God knows a GM can review all chat logs and trade logs to determine that the player indeed scammed you.

The new system does create interactions, I have so many recurrent customers reaching out for crafting and recrafting, people that have added me.

There is absolutely no reason for a system in to NOT prevent scamming, and it looks very weird that people question a system like that like a bad thing.

Maybe for you it’s not. I was talking about for me. It’s frustrating for me. Was that not clear somehow?

And I wasn’t against changes to the system, as it was a bit… bland. But these changes went way too far. Just for reference, I love the crafting system in FFXIV. THAT is fun and rewarding. WoW’s system isn’t fun or rewarding now. It’s just convoluted and complicated, just for the sake of change and meeting play time metrics.

I agree - I much preferred the weekly world quests rather than these gold sink patron orders most people will probably never make back

Please bring some light to someone ignorant lime that doesn’t play FFXIV.

What makes the new system convoluted and complicated for you?
And what could make the system better?
