or if you’re completely unaware that it’s even happening. and they’re just doing their best to understand a new system that has been completely revamped.
It’s evident that Blizzard doesn’t have the resources to manually test their game for bugs/exploits. It seems like most of their team has moved to Diablo 4’s launch or something. Blizzard is now resorting to banning people who find these bugs for them and exploit them for their own gain. It’s better than what they did in the past several exploits ago this expansion, which was doing nothing.
every 2 hours it just moves to a new zone, i know lots of raid groups that formed and farmed it all day long, alwasy got a white bag having 4 tokens in it plus the 15 for each objective completed doesnt take long to get the rep if you truly did it all day.
some people even join hunts and just afk bc they still get credit as long as they are in the area of the hunt.
I don’t know if this is still true but I realized by accident you can chain them on the plains. They basically just kept spawning back to back last week and I honesty do not know if it’s a bug of a feature (it’s their home turf maybe hunt isn’t the same as grand hunt) but you still get rep from it.
Edit for context: What I’m referring to was not on the map I was just gathering in the plains and found multiple “hunts” based on quest popup on basically no timer. My attitude was basically ya I’ll stick around! Why not. Got some tokens out of it but there are full groups that look for and target these things in lfg
according to other posts - there was a definite indication what the cooldown was.
originally the hunts didn’t give anything after 3 times but they put the extra in as a result of feedback on beta. You can tell it isn’t a bug because of the reduced rewards and color of the bags…
If you are getting full rewards for doing something repeatedly you need to question. If it is too good to be true it usually is a bug.
I get that but without a clear statement it can be hard to tell / reasonable to be confused. I don’t think the burden of proof should not be on the player and I don’t think bans are the appropriate punishment
it goes
Epic Purple (Mount chance) Once a week then becomes epic
Rare Blue (idk whats special) Once a week then becomes green
Norm Green (Idk whats special) Once a week then becomes white
All the time white (4 tokens everytime) can get this all day long
I haven’t leveled up my tailor but others have said there was a clear indication of the cooldown that was involved.
Except there’s clear situations where the burden of proof is on the player. Back during BFA there was a WQ which people found out they could turn in repeatedly without fail. Those people exploited it for hours and then got hit with an exploit ban because of an immense power gain which happened in under 24 hours.
Considering the power gain from professions in this expansion, it’s not unreasonable for people to draw the conclusion that something having a CD and then suddenly not randomly might be a bug and should not be exploited. There was a clear CD indicator. It randomly vanishing is obviously a bug lol
That was actually intended to be a perk for top players who knew in advance, that they were going to nerf before casuals could take advantage. Not the first time this has happened.
In any case, they don’t play their own game or test it outside of a small scale.
OK, folks lets put an end to the rumors and set the record straight. Those of you who know me, which is none of you, will know that I am someone who knows someone in the deep know about how the game is being designed from inside. I’m flying low under the NDA to bring you this information.
Fact is, with new crafting there needs to be something that separate the elite from the scrubs who couldn’t craft a lesser heal potion if they looted it off a low level mob. So, now, if your crafting is sub par you get a ban for a few days to stop your shoddy craftsmanship from being circulated. It’s actually a ‘service’
are you really crying for being unbanned?.lol go send a ticket if you’re gonna do that and ask to be banned again then
I’m sure this bug/exploit was going around on the WoW trading Discord. I don’t see Blizzard banning for no reason.
I don’t think agree that it’s how it should but I understand that’s been the reality for some time.
It honestly is not clear at all a lot of people who are not tailors don’t really understand how easy it is to have exploited on accident. There’s 1 of 20 charges like with alchemy transmute and a talent to reduce cooldown with no mention of reduction length. (Edit for context: I have KP in these talents and this is how it looks on my screen. To my knowledge I’m sitting on 8 of 20 charges.) Coupled with other mechanics that reduce cd / increased charges through actions / play it is an easy mistake to make.
Again, your mediocre attempt to justify an unjustworthy ban for people is shameful. Blizzard doesnt have a leg to stand on and I SERIOUSLY doubt people are scouring every nook and cranny in the forums to see whats bugged vs what isnt and a majority of the time people who stumble upon these bugs arent doing it to exploit things, it simply became a case of “I did X and it reset so I guess that means I can keep doing it to obtain Y and Z.” All this ban wave has done is solidify the idea of “I better not do crafting or I may get banned” which is par for the course as far as blizzard goes. But lastly, ai have the dedicated article as posted above VS your “some people i spoke with.”
according to those people it shows right in the game - there was no need to scour the forum.
please do refrain
I believe it was during BfA that people complained about a lack of critical information in tooltips, and were told this was intentional. You don’t know what information isn’t there on that item, and boom! You just lost 50k on an item you can’t use. Try to craft an item for a low level with an empty slot, but the minimum level to equip no longer appeared in your crafting book. And when that low level got it, they couldn’t equip it, and the minimum level shown to them was completely wrong.
The game is now full of carefully crafted booby traps where someone who isn’t aware there might be an issue or restriction is intended to think they know everything they need to know, not ask questions, and waste gold and their valuable time.
Keep making up excuses. We know that’s your MO as a Loyal Soldier for Blizzard™.
Why feel bad for cheaters. They deserved it lol. Exploiting is always bad for video games. This will teach them a lesson that just because you can do it, you wont be punished for it. Lol.
This is a tough thing to judge.
If Blizzard leaves the door open with no indication you’re not supposed to come in, and then punishes people for coming in, that’s unfair.
But there’s also a broad spectrum between is it intended or is it an exploit and how obvious which one an activity is. And some things are much more obviously an exploit and if you go 110% on that you probably should get a slap on the wrist.
End of the day though, it’s Blizzards responsibility to keep the door closed when it’s supposed to be closed.
