Crafters saying “tip whatever you like” and rejecting orders when 50g is offered?

lmao ok dud

1k is average. Anything that takes more than a few seconds to pick up off the mobs in the game.

Above that it’s up to you. below that, still up to you. Just keep in mind eventually it’s going to be a bidding war. Crafters only get 20 orders per week. So eventually assuming the crafting update on the timechart for this expansion inflates what’s possible, is going to be “do I want to do a Allied Bracer for 50g or this khaz’gorite hammer for 500?”

Well you can’t have both. You’re either paying them in tips which is supplementing their income based on their performance. Or you’re paying the business owner higher prices on the service/product to increase the wages for his workers. Either way it’s coming out of your pocket one way or another. Businesses aren’t going to pay their employees more, without that money coming from somewhere.

So regardless of how you think it should be, you’re going to pay for it

This called a wage.

Then you take up the issue with the business like you would everywhere else.

Wild concept.

Not if you were already tipping a decent amount.

Do you really not even have a basic level of comprehension about this topic?

If tips are taken away, wages would have to increase for those employees would they not? I’d love to see businesses tell their staff that they will no longer be receiving tips, and that their wages are staying the same. You would definitely be able to expect great service after that

If wages increase for those employees, where is this money coming from if not from you?

If wages go up, so does the cost of the product from that business. The waiters/waitresses get tips taken away, and their wages increased to make up for it? Well that cheeseburger you’re buying is going to reflect that in the price

If you can’t understand that, this debate is pointless

if it costs me nothing sure. 50g is fine.

but i wont be guaranteeing any quality.

5K to guarantee R5 is reasonable if the craft needs to be re rolled.

pay nothing and you get rng and we all know how wow’s rng likes to go. 4 helm upgrade items to replace a non replaceable helm slot. U-U/

You actually have reading comprehension issues.

I didnt say this.

You are the one not understanding.

Im in the service industry. I know what im talking about. If you go back and read properly, you might just realize what i actually said.

I’m one of those people who says just tip whatever since I don’t really know what to ask for and most people still pay pretty decently.

I’ve never sent a crafting order back even if they put a low number, but I’m pretty sure that Ragemode would manage to be such an insufferably whiny customer that he’d manage to get me to decline it

Why are you complaining about this? You can tip what you like, but they shouldn’t be forced to take a garbage offer

Why are people still going with this restaurant logic? I don’t go to the restaurant with all the ingredents I need for food already bought and brought by me then the chef snaps his fingers and the food teleports onto my table. Hell, I would tell them to reduce how much I would normally pay since you made me bring my own stuff.

There is no waiter, you the profession person aren’t the waiter, you’re the chef who has a magic power that lets you cook food instantly. And as far as I am aware people don’t tip the chef nevermind when you have to pay for the resources yourself and how little time it came.

I said it before, if this was recrafting to a rank 5 then maybe, a big maybe would you tip large. But if it is just a random any rank crafting order then you really don’t need 10k, 5k, maybe not even 1k gold if it is a public order or just something you offered someone while you were already at the station.

Rofl, nice speculation when youve never been.

As someone who has lived in Germany and traveled throughout europe where server are actually paid a living wage, there is no difference in the quality of service. In fact, they are often far more professional.

I tipped somebody 200 gold for an enchanting rod.

I can’t believe they did it

Which is why I literally put “Granted that’s my opinion as I’ve never been there to know for sure.”, the immediate sentence after. But I guess that’s where your tiny brain was so rage induced you didn’t continue reading and had to pound your keyboard in a tantrum

And that’s not speculation? The forum warrior hypocrite

No the house takes a 20g fee, I could tip you one copper. I am going to use the order system now and tip only a copper just because people think they are entitled to a “tip” instead of just calling it a fee. Words matter and the whole reason people call it a tip is because they get more people willing to do business with they because it’s a “tip” and not a fee but if you expect it it’s no longer a tip but a few.

It’s unfortunate that the US service industry created this precedent to 1. Hide costs, and two save businesses money buy shift the cost to the consumer in a manner that obfuscates the actual end cost. Same reason we don’t include taxes on the box price and only show it at the point of sale.

I see you failed to read his post since he stayed from experience living in both countries. I have had a similar experience but I would say service is about equal but American servers have to tolerate much more BS from customers because their livelihoods are tied to tips where their European counter parts are not and thus customers are, on average, more polite.

Nobody’s entitled to a tip. The same way nobodys entitled to have their order filled.

Its entirely up to the individuals involved. If the system progresses to the point where order are actually commonplace, youre going to start seeing a lot more generous “fees” as people can only craft 20 per week.

I think private orders bypass this limit. But if you know someone you dont need incentive in the first place.

The keyword here is tip. They aren’t saying free. 50 gold is free. This isnt vanilla. Imagine “tipping” your server a penny.

Put their name out in whatever global chat so that the community is aware. It may not help, but people should know that they are dishonest and trying to lure people in and sound all magnanimous, and then not accept an offer. Some people have no integrity these days. Their word means nothing. A person’s word is the one of the FEW things they have any control over. It’s sickening how many cheapen their own word through this sort of behavior.

50g is not free. Your interpretation of what is a reasonable tip is YOUR opinion, but the definition of free means no cost. If someone wants you to pay for mats and has a specific tip in mind, don’t call it a tip. Say “Your mats and expected tip amount”. Doing it any other way just leads to chaos. Everyone has their own definition of what a reasonable tip is.

And then there’s always the guy who blah blah blah’s about US servers because almighty Europe is so perfect.
