There shouldn’t be a world where crafted should be BIS for classes. It can be amazing or 2nd best, but not BIS. There is a whole world of those trying to be “max item level” and simply having BIS crafted ruins that for those, trying to max out their gear but cannot be due to decrease in output.
Take the time to actually bring in items that are going to be an actual upgrade comparative to crafted items. Clearly 3 item levels is not that.
Regardless, it isn’t the point. To those who want to look the best and show off that they are at very high level, 3 levels + # of items, can be a big difference, up to 9 ilvl difference if you’re wearing 3 crated items, which often is BIS for alot of classes.
This would destroy loot for people who only do M+ but don’t raid. There are only a few options per armor type, so we could be stuck with say a haste/mastery or a versatility/crit belt or something for the season when our bis stats are haste/crit.
no. you said you wanted to be able to show off your highest ilvl pieces. you can do that when you apply to groups and then swap to your highest dps gear set once you zone in.
Maybe i’m crazy. Part of the allure is seeing the ilvl next to damage meters for ilvl score. I do it all the time checking their ilvl in damage meters. Which is only available based on what you’re equipping currently when doing actual damage. Rarely do i check thei lvl from inspection, i use it from details damage addon.
You can probably find an addon that lets you type in what you want your ilvl to say if you just want really big numbers. There’s no problem here though
