Crafted gear is so annoying

I’ve heard that using lower rank materials to make 606-619 gear will make it much harder to recraft it to 636 later, but I don’t have proof of this claim.

Pay to win means to have an advantage from real world currency not available to players that play the game without spending Real World currency.

Pay to win does not mean you paying gold for an item equal or lesser in ilvl to something someone can obtain from doing content.

Also the crests used to make crafted gear comes from PVE.

Or an alt army that plays its cards right with respect to crafting professions.

Buy those tokens and sell them so you can afford mats + tip

I haven’t paid more than 4k for a tip yet.

Everyone just says thank you.

I liked the Dragonflight crafted gear system better, this one this expansion is a bit too much. My sparks are just sitting there and I have no idea what to craft with them, or how.

And I have looked into it too. I went to the WoWhead guide for my class and spec, went to the BiS gear section to see what to craft, saw a weapon, looked it up on WoWhead, no info. Okay, opened up the crafting order system in game to see what to do: still no idea what to do. :dracthyr_shrug:

Yeah, this was billed as the most alt-friendly expansion to date, but the addition of Concentration to the crafting system means that you need more alts to pump out high-quality crafted goods than ever.

There is ZERO (0) reason that crafters shouldn’t be able to sell armor and weapons freely on the AH other than the devs being obtuse, if they’re fine with giving up their own crests for money.

You are trying to make the best item of the patch. Yes, it has to be hard. Why not craft a lowbie item if you cant afford the best Crafted item? You just want freebies … sorry it doesnt work that way.

You cam skip all the t1 to t5 ns listed though and just be at t4 or t5.

Also in the old system:

Find an alchemist with transmute available for the day

That was the absolute worst

reason 402 I dont do the gear grind crap anymore. I use whatever I get. I dont play competitively. I dont even do BGs anymore.
Bliz wants to make gearing a pain in the rump? Im not participating.

why go through this process and pay. you can just buy a geared toon

I just dont craft

Dump all that money on mats for next patch to drop to make it all useless. Meh

The worst part is having to navigate the disaster of a crafting system they updated

Agree. It isn’t technically p2w but it’s p2w.

And it sucks that because it’s designed this way, pretty much all crafting is end game. So if you’re level 76 and can’t get a gun to drop, you’re using that DF gun to 80 because professions are no help.

I dont even see a point to crafting for myself.

I only do lfr and mythic plus players generally feces me.

The system is sufficiently obstructive to minimise competition, while being complex enough to create player avoidance.
It supplies traditionally stupid powerful items for crafting, while the commission system enables direct buying of the items and obfuscation of the pricing due to complexity and the inability to post the items on the auctionhouse.

The ‘physical’ separation of the crafting tables, work order table and the auctionhouse also assists in the whole system becoming more friction orientated.

It could be alot worse.

I really dont see how it can be actually ‘better’ without loosing the atypical elements of a complex crafting system with built in components for both friction and iterative engagement.

umm… do I like it personally?
I like the idea of it

People that complains about the crafting system developed df are either lazy or straight up dumb.

Old crafting system was dead and irrelevant besides a few consumables.

New crafting system is used on every bis sets. And this is after multiple nerfs because how strong it was.

It’s okay to not want to interact with it. But at least realize it’s a you problem not the other way around.

I gave up on having a 619 crafted and just upgraded it with crests lol.

I have the mats but I don’t feel like finding 2 different blacksmiths to have it crafted, one for the smelting and the other for the weapon it’s self, I just can’t be bothered to go through the loop. Yes, it’s a me problem, the crafting it’s self is fine.

I will just sell the mats and use that for enchants.

remove crafted gear its the worst it has ever been

I tried to engage with professions this expansion but I just can’t.

Since DF the entire crafting system has been needlessly convoluted and tedious.

My time is worth too much to be wasted on it.

Leveling professions from the previous expansions is far more fun.

It shouldn’t be a wonder why people prefer dual gathering.
