Finally, Blizzard appears to be answering my many requests (and obviously not mine alone) to put the bling back into crafting. There is apparently a new system for 9.2 for creating a whole bunch of pets and mounts, and this idea makes me very happy.
We need more of this sort of creative fun in the professions.
They have done craft-able mounts in the past and many have been annoying because they can only be used by a character with that profession. For example, the wolf from leatherworking which I won’t be able to ride if I ever drop leatherworking. Same for the tailoring carpets. I would love to see that removed as well as the other big fail of crafted mounts being BoP.
I agree about the crafting mounts being bop, which is weird when you consider that during the same expansion blacksmiths could make the Fel Core Hound Harness which was boe. Its seems incredibly randomly odd.
Exactly. There isn’t a lot of consistency to it and very frankly, there seem to be a few “golden” professions which get all the crafted things players actually want and will buy while many other professions rot in a ditch at the side of the road. (I’m looking at you, leatherworking.)
Agreed. What really burns my buns is when they lock desirable patterns behind raids - UGH! One day I would like them to stop treating crafting patterns like some sort of reward for the elite only. So sick of being side-swiped.
This honestly seems great. An optional grind for people that want to do it. This is what the game needs more of. Finally taking lessons from the small amount they did in Mechagon and applying it to something new. They need to do this more often instead of scrapping entire ideas.
