I’d rather have new craftables for actual professions. But this is something, I guess.

Your point being what, if everyone has no one wants to use it? People will use what they like to use.
The items required to craft the mounts and patterns are drops and they are BOA so you can use alt also for farming while doing progress

My only concern is that it’s a completely separate system from the current professions, which are largely withering away for the most part.
They could have implemented all or maybe just some of them into the current profession system, breathing some life back into them, and making them capable of being sold or traded.
But as it is with their own BOA rare reagents and the mounts and pets being BoP, it just seems like another time gated grind system intended to get people to get their /timeplayed and engagement metrics up.
Not to mention it really exploits those of us with collector’s OCD.

Really hoping it’s not like the “crafting” system used to craft that Maw mount from…9.0.5 was it? Don’t even remember. But that was just one supreme grind.
