Tbh, I will wear my mask everywhere for the rest of my life. I haven’t been sick in over three years. Turns out gross people sneezing and coughing all over you is not cool!

Covid will never be over, it will always be there, just like the flu or a simple cold.
But at least the dangerous “oh my gosh, we’re all gonna die” times are over and the world can move on.

I still mask up indoors, and masking is required where I work (thank goodness).
I work for a Japanese firm, and whenever I travel to Japan, the difference is pretty stark. Masking has always been very common, in Japan. If you think you’re getting sick, or have recently been sick, you wear a mask, as a courtesy to others. And masks have always been freely available at work.

This is like saying that the seasonal flu isn’t over.
Covid19 is now party of the seasonal illness rotation.
It will never be over until we find a way to completely remove things like the flu and virus from the planet.

Vaccination helps keep it mild and reduces the chance of long term effects. But yeah, we’re all going to get it at some point. Some have even had it without knowing they had it.

The scariest thing to me about covid was when there was all that messaging telling people to wash their hands.
And I was like, “… there are people who don’t wash their hands? That’s disgusting.”
