This could be true but they have the MUCH better work of those before them to stand on… classic / Tbc

Quality > Quantity
I agree. Blizz in their prime. A poster a few weeks back posted this in a thread about the reasoning in the decline in WoW. Luckily, I saved it because I thought that it was so good:
"Blizz is in a decline phase called Corporate Decay.
Corporate Decay is best explained by looking at the Pareto Principle. That principle states 20% of an organization provides 80% of the value.
So companies can get a perfect roll off the bat and get nothing but superstars. That was Blizzard in its glory days. Wages, benefits, etc are all tertiary to this fact. If companies don’t get the best off the bat they usually go out of business early. Most businesses go out of business early.
So the royal flush landed at Blizz in their early days and they skyrocketed in popularity. However people retire, or die or take better offers. The product grows and you need more bodies. You don’t have the luxury of being strict. Now your hiring standards are lower and now what was 20% is 10% or 5%.
And now the product is showing it. That’s where we are today. Blizz is top heavy with a lot of people who honestly shouldn’t be there and I mean all levels.
I suspect some others realized this awhile back and checked out."
I would say my alliance guild defines casual. I’m not great but I had aotc first week of march on horde side. That guild feel apart so I went back to alliance as I have friends Ive played with for years. They struggle to get aotc before the next raidusually. I’m talking like 5% parses for multiply dps, struggle in +12 keys without being carried. No clue about gear, stats etc. But they are hilarious and great people to around.
I mean boring busywork itself isn’t the problem.
The problem is player power being tied to the busywork.
Lets face it, farming your dailies to get the nether ray in BC was boring busywork, but the players didn’t resent it, because they weren’t required to do it to be competitive.
You can have grindy content for the people that turbo-nerd want to play 12 hours a day, just don’t make that content required to do raids and M+ please and thank you.
- Tier sets usually pigeonholed people into the set options even if they weren’t the most useful. Having a “customize your own set pieces” is a better option, but I agree there wasn’t much choice in the azerite armors. It all came down to which was the S, A, B, etc. tiers. The nature we got gear is different. You can farm PvP, Mythic+, or raid… having multiple sets for each category complicates things.
- Removal of Master Loot had more to do with the fact that there’s a lot of guilds pugging people for raids. If you don’t have enough guildy healers or tanks online to do a raid then it opens up options instead of just having to not raid that night. People will be less inclined to help others in a raid if they have 0 chance to get anything out of it.
- Warfronts/Islands weren’t any interesting without the PvP element.
- Corruptions/visions/etc. offered too much character customizations and there’s plenty of people running around with 100+ corruption.
Overall I don’t feel like its a bad expansion. They were willing to test out new ideas instead of just sticking to the norm. None of them really hamper the game. As a returning player I’ve been dealing with this metric ton of grinding for everything, but I am almost done. Nearly 1800 io… few pieces short of iLvl 470… almost got all my purple essences… lvl 12 cape… in 3 weeks.
Who said I followed the herd? And what I don’t find fun is underperforming, always being behind my teammates, waiting in Q’s for forever, not being an asset to my team, etc. Do you find those things fun?
i can go on
dont have to like the dude i just dont get why some people have this urge to let the world know they dislike x person.
those are the “instances like this” I was on about.
Every single one of them was me replying to someone else saying I dont care what he said.
if you have to repeatedly specify you don’t care about him, you probably care about him
no i just find it annoying when people post someone else’s opinions.
If i wanted to hear what that person said i would watch their content.
…why?
do you get annoyed when people reference books? documentaries? speeches?
people refer to other people all the time. sometimes people can’t articulate how they feel as well and find someone who can. nothing wrong with that.
I see, well next time I will share points of what the guy said in his video. I felt too lazy to do it in this thread.
I dont mind references but the post was literally just a link to the video and them saying they agree.
Thats not a reference, thats a youtube video and little more
Oh 100%. Azerite could have worked had they done it right.
They did not.
I don’t really care why they did it. Removing it objectively made the game worse for anyone who preferred ML, or DKP systems for that matter. Did the ends justify the means? Maybe? Who knows? All I know is for me personally, it made the game worse.
I’m genuinely glad you enjoyed yourself. For me BFA was the worst expansion ever, I rank it slightly below WoD.
he didn’t say he agreed he just said it was a nice video. nothing wrong with people watching it themselves and forming their own opinion.
Indeed there isn’t.
And thats what youtube is for
TBH, we all should be ready for another BFA at this point.
Meaning it will take them till like 9.2 or 9.3 to fix/balance things.
Maybe they’ll add something broken in 9.3 like they did in 8.3 (corruption).
i cannot count the amount of videos i’ve seen from other members posting on various platforms like forums, reddit, etc. that i never would have found if i were just on youtube.
the spread of information and content is a good thing. it’s very easy to just not watch them if you dont want to and then that way you dont have to go around telling everyone how little you care
Thats your opinion.
I feel the same way about that as I do the video
