Covenant restrictions = Content Restrictions

Yeah, this response just shows you don’t get it. Which is fine, I unerstand your point of view, it’s just not mine.

Good for you I guess?

No I get it. I just believe it’s a poor stance that only takes into account your gameplay and endorses tackling others to the ground because they play differently than you. You can have RPG elements in the game without pulling the rug under players who just want to perform well in the content they enjoy.

How about letting the player decide what is “too much”? If you can grind renown with all 4 covenants, power to you IMHO.

It’s fine if you are restricted to one set of powers at a time but it’s silly you can’t be max renown with all 4 at the same time. We have ground rep with dozens of factions by now.

Some people just want more content, to see the storylines for the other covenants, to get their cosmetics, … etc. without having to level an alt or going through the “prove your loyalty” quest grind - the latter is just freaking silly as I mentioned earlier.

More casuals looking to experiment on their own are negatively impacted by the restrictions than top 1%ers looking to mix max.

If covenants were freely swappable, you could still make a choice and stick with it.

It is the definition of a choice. You have options, you can pick one. That’s CHOICE (an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities.)

We actually can have max renown with all 4 at the same time. We’re just locked behind a 2 week time gate.

Would be cool if we can be renown with all 4 without the 2 week time gate and accusations of disloyalty.

Exactly. It’s not like we’re not there to save their whole world or anything like that…
