…seriously? did i just waste 10k anima to save 2 minutes when flying to a m+?
in case someone doesnt get it, covenant sanctum upgrade lv3 opens a portal to oribos, but there`s no portal to go back… after all the farming and waiting i feel cheated tbh
For kyrian it saves about 30 secs. If you take an already-established Port down to the southwestern edge of the map it’s free to fly to oribos anyway… definitely won’t be terribly convenient to me
Wow that is pathetic… WTH is actually wrong with blizzard? Can they stop sucking the fun out of anything and everything? Ions war on portals (and convenience) started way back with the flying fiasco and was made even more obvious when he stripped portals from all over azeroth but then opened a portal room, but keeping quiet that we have access to far less portals now than we did before.
He needs to go, please for the love of all things holy get a GD who knows fun NOT tedium
Yea, that’s my point. I think having a portal is a pretty normal QoL request here. We shouldn’t have to put in work for a portal. Maybe it ‘unlocks’ automatically once you hit a certain renown.
We had flying removed. Flight whistle removed. And now we are forced to take a flight path to travel.
Thank you!
If I could, I would start an anima donation site to help you recover the anima spent, and we could all donate it to you for saving so many players the cost of Blizzard’s doubling down mindset in this expansion. It’s working against them btw, but again, thanks for the heads up!
15min CD on your hearth. You have a legion hearth. And if you are desperate you have a garrison hearth.
Assigning your hearth to your covenant hall is pretty convenient form of transport. Most times by the time i hearth back and go an do whatever i need to do the hearth is back off CD and i can easily pop to my covenant and then oribos with little fuss.
Complaining about conviniences we have had for a long time is not nothing.
Complaining about a game director that is intent on sucking the life and fun out of a game we all once loved is not nothing.
Complaining about artificially extending time played is not nothing.
When everyone unsubs on mass because they are fed up with Ions crappy ideal of “fun” and WoW becomes a tumbleweed wastleand maybe then you will see how important this is.
Be grateful people ARE complaining, because when they go silent (leave/giveup/don’t care about the game anymore) then game is done for. If you can’t see the steady death of this game then I can’t help you.
It’s a video game. We shouldn’t be spending our time having to travel. The quests are already spread out enough. Pointless flight time doesn’t add the experience.
I think people are more upset because of the lack of clarity , the quest/campain should have stated its a one way portal from the start and then we can decide to do it or another part of the covernant.
The description states it adds a portal TO Oribos in your covenant sanctum. Stop trying to read into the description and maybe you won’t be disappointed
I think it all comes down to what we’ve all known for the past 3 expansions.
Time. It is their currency of choice, aka meta data. It’s also their crutch used to offset the loss of active players, since they now only report MAUs/time in-game versus actual subscription numbers.
The simple math of it is easily shown.
2p x 1t = 2pt
1p x 2t = 2pt
where “p” is player quantity and “t” is time spent in-game, and “pt” is what they report to shareholders.
By using various methods to slow down player progression (drawn out content completion times aka WQs, RNG, travel expediency, terrain design, vague tooltips), they increase that “p” number and, subsequently, the “pt” number, the number they report to shareholders.
It’s an mmo with a world…travel in the world is this video game. Dont like traveling inside a game I guess that cuts out all but puzzle games for ya…go play those.
