This is a hard hit, not only for the DPS of ret… but also for players that was excited to craft this leggo. I main Venth Hpal cause blizzard leads me that way with a carrot on a stick, I was going to swap ret/Kyrian to have fun and "possibly be wanted in a mythic core raid team, but…looks like I’m chasing the carrot for another season, Thanks Blizz!!! Revert this change or make it 20 sec, I’m tired of chasing…calves starting to hurt and I’m getting hungry! LoL

I don’t usually say anything on the forums but I finally started to play Ret this tier and this seemed like a fun legendary. It really does feel like this is a bit of an over the top nerf at least in PVE. I can understand for Ret it might be a bit oppressive in a PVP situation. Maybe it would be worthwhile considering taking a second look and just adjusting it for pvp situations? also could you at least share some information on this and other legendaries about why you decided to buff/nerf them? the communication would be great for the community. Thank you.
I was so happy that I wouldnt have to change between 4 different legendaries like i did in season 1 like all those specs that just needed one for all situations, hope they revert the Divine Resonance nerf like they did for the Venthyr War one.

Please revert this for prot or give us something? Idk 5% more armor? 5% more stam? Something? try tuning the spec once without nerfing it?
hen you consider you can stack it with law bringing, divine toll having a chance to trigger anywhere from 5 to 8 instant cast judgments that do 100% more damage
Divine Toll can’t even trigger 5 Judgments in PVE, and it’s reduced in PVP. It can only proc an additional 2 times in PVP for a total of 3, and the damage of extra Judgments is reduced. I have no idea where you got 8 from. Additionally, it was changed months ago so that the extra judgements are staggered, not instant.
On topic, I don’t understand the point of adding new, Covenant-themed legendaries if many of them are going to not be worth using. From a game design standpoint, what’s the goal?
Pouch of Razer Fagments for Venthyr Hunters needs to be 100% scaling to have any hope of competing with other legendaries. Even at 60% scaling, it’s not going to come close to something like Wildfire Cluster.

Stacking this with divine toll as it already is, ON TOP of lawbringer gets very stupid very fast, you dont need another 6 judgments going off on top of that. Palies as is have amazing pvp burst, with divine toll, this would just make it even more ridiculous.
There is a reason divine toll ret pally is so crazy good in arena right now.

Right i get that, but this is not something unique to holy pally, every class has garbage legendries for their spec.
Warriors only have 3 good legendries for prot. Sure if one of those 3 were nerfed i would see why people would be upset, but this i a new legendary that not good for holy…who cares. The new night fae warrior legendary is also utter poop, but no one is complaining about it because no one cares we have our other legendries already.
The only reason people are complaining about this one is because its ret upset they cant have an even more broken divine toll ability.

Heartily agree. These cov legendaries can’t just stand on their own absent other legendariess. If you are going to make Razor Frags viable for Hunters it has to not only compete with RPF, whatever the trap one is that I hate, and Wildfire Cluster. It has to compete with those PLUS the fact that Wild Spirits on it’s own is a ridiculous amount of AoE.
Buff Razor Frags to the point it is 10% under Wild Spirits ST and AoE and I will happily switch back to Venthyr like I have been wanting to do since I had to go NF just to do any kind of AoE damage and not get laughed out of even low level keys

In all caps… WHY? No one is going to play this legendary now. You’ve nerfed it repeatedly on the PTR and it was finally in a relatively balanced position. But now you’ve tipped the scales again into worthless.
The Ringing Clarity conduit only works off Divine Toll, the judgements cast after from Divine Resonance don’t proc additional judgments. Also Lawbringer was changed so it doesn’t effect the primary target of the judgment, only those afflicted by the debuff and not the target of the judgement. So… there’s no reason this legendary should be getting nerfed.
I will say it again…so what. There are dozens of legendries that go completely unused for specs.
This is not a case of, hey we are nerfing an existing legendary to poop, this is a case of ,hey here is a new legendary…its crap…oh well.

It was going to make us work better in PVE. Not everything is about PVP friend. And you should be one to throw stones in glasshouses. Warriors are incredibly dominant in PVP, you have insane utility and damage.
Yeah it only works off divinte toll, so you get garunteed 5, up to 3 more for 8 and at 30 seconds that would be an additional 6.
Even with out raging clarity, its a guaranteed 11 judgments for the press of a single button, at 30 seconds. Even at 15, its still a guaranteed 8 at the single press of a button.
Of course not every thing is about pvp, but unfortunately until blizzard decided to fully separate the who with entirely different abilities, they both have to play together. Which right now, divine toll is like THE meta for arena right now, making it even more stupid then it already is, is not a good idea.
THis is not like ret are now unplayable, its not like ret suddenly became the worst sppec in teh game, you all still have very good legendries out there.
Again, if this was a case of they are breaking existing legendaries sure i can understand that and would be onboard with being against it, but its not existing ones, its a new one, its crap, oh well.
