I’m a bit confused where am I attacking people? When I say I think the group is part of a problem? That is not attacking anybody in any way. I mean I guess someone really sensitive might see that as a personal attack maybe? If so I apologize, but let me explain. I see this group as a part of a problem because they often do things that limit my own fun. When people hinder your fun do you not too see them as part of a problem?
It’s a bit of the same, our fun is to push ourselves. We see this design hindering that.
When most of the gains are superficial, and could still exist at some point if they were adjusted to fit with more competitive content.
then surely you see myself and others with my thoughts as part of a problem. Maybe I should of worded it better idk. I’m sorry =/
Like there are many solutions or even compromise we’re ready to go, but right now what we can see and what they said about covenants it’s pretty grim.
Solutions could be:
Being able to change once or twice a day without a cost, a bit how you choose your follower each day in Nazjatar.
Having a way to unlock other covenants, either farming rep or earning by challenge.
Having them not work in raids/rated pvp/m+, or in a reduced state (no abilites only passive soulbinds).
Was awhile back but I actually suggested that in another thread when people first started complaining about this. (Not this thread was sometime a little while after blizzcon.
It’s not perfect and I wouldn’t be fond of it, but I think a good compromise is one where neither side is exactly happy.
Being stuck with it for a day I guess would be okay too after a couple changes but i’m less fond of that one. Being able to change it just really reduces the value of the choice you made to me.
Btw I’m glad we can have a more healthy discussion.
They will allow you to change covenants right in mid ? although it will a painful process as i heard.
I wasn’t aware I was being unhealty, well Ok I admit I did elude to one person being childish… I allowed my frustration at that point from defending my point of view get the better of me at that time. But I too am glad we can discuss things in a more civil manner I always prefer that. I dislike aggression from others and myself it always makes me feel less then good.
You don’t have any luck kimg raid achievements tho ?
It’s not really gonna be a compromise or let people switch how they want with what they offer.
With what we know, it’s not really gonna be a fun thing to do to swap back to a covenant. With what we know so far, their current way to go is making them as hard to switch as Aldor/Scryers (2-4 weeks of farm to switch between those). They feel that it’s too easy right now to respec Azerith trait (even if people have paid thousands of gold to respec), they feel the system needs to stop people from doing that.
We haven’t got a confirmation on the beta how it would work, but we should see soon tm.
Na buy it from me. I sell AOTC for 100k gold only
From the talks I heard from developers. I feel they are pretty determined to make this system work. They should atleast release the system of alpha, even if half baked to see how it works
Is it released on alpha ?
Some abilities work on alpha, not everything is released.
And yes they are determined to push it. And try to balance it.
But there’s clear offenders with some abilities utility.
Like the Venthir teleport is just too strong right now.
And for my class, one of them is a mass grip. Mass grip is notoriously broken on some fights and an extreme boost of damage for your group when used.
You are so out of touch… who do you think makes those guides in the website?
The mythic raiders / high key pushers do
Ok now you’re just trolling. You won’t Ume a +25 key this expansion.
Man this is my acc since I started playing. It has been unsub Forbes periods of time but this is the acc.
The acc on which all I did was Kara 10 man,
the acc on which I got undying but never immortal
The acc on which I never killed algalon or 25 0 lights on while it was relevant
The acc on which I couldn’t kill 25 h anub arak on
The acc on which I killed h sindragosa on after which guild disbanded before even pulling 25man h lk
The acc on which I cleared dragon soul 25 and firands while it was current content
The acc which I didn’t log onto during WOD
The acc I came back to in BFA for uldir CE
The acc on which I got BOD CE
The acc on which I never killed either of mythic COS bosses
The acc on which I am currently timing +25s on.
Yet some how all these people have gone thru sooo many accounts during their time.
It’s actually insulting people who couldn’t time a +15 FH on their best day lie about having accomplished things I worked so hard for.
What if I told you
That even if they unlocked it you could still have that same feeling
Not really. Being able to change it freely diminishs the value and it would no longer really be a secondary class or race choice option. Sure you could pretend, but you could also pretend your bug is a Ferrari and you will still know it is not.
But we are just talking about the abilities here
I don’t want to swap around covenants but I want to be able to swap the abilities around so I don’t get shoe horned into something or not pick the one I want because the ability is complete garbage
Blizzard definitely seems to be underestimating the community’s capacity for being unreasonable and elitist. The only people this should actually matter for are the world first-level raiders.
The reality is that, since most of those raiders are influencers with popular streams, the mentality that certain covenants are just outright dead is going to trickle down (very quickly) and lead to a large portion of the community gatekeeping all forms of content. “Lol don’t sign up for M+ unless you’re this covenant” is going to be a common occurrence if we’re not able to easily swap between abilities.
Best case scenario people are cruel and unreasonable to each other and a large portion of the community gatekeeps to heck. Worst case scenario, community resources like WoWhead and Raider io, either directly or indirectly, encourage people to adopt the mindset that someone playing a certain covenant is bad because they picked that covenant. Can you imagine Raider io adjusting peoples’ scores based on their covenant, and the impact that would have on the M+ community?
Unless they fix this now, it’s going to be a serious community divider. Guess we just have to wait and see.
