Reminds me of friends of mine in the VFX film industry - people think they hit a button and it makes effects or a whole digital creature. They dubbed it the “shrek button”.
People do that to servers “just hit the switch”.

Except they’ve said it’s a software limitation.
They could say sacrifice accuracy and performance and shove an extra 10k people on…somehow I doubt that would be acceptable to the community.
Or delete WoW entirely and rebuild it and we all start from scratch
Ok? That still doesn’t explain why nothing has been attempted in 3 years. Other predictable problems were also ignored even while players both in and out of the council told them they were going to be problems, like mega servers, like a dozen dead realms.
They dragged their asses on every issue. Nothing about this and the people complaining is expecting too much, they’ve had the time and the money while they keep coming up with $100 MTX for people to buy.

Lol its amazing how despised this CC member was whenever they discussed things like RDF or the Item Squish, yet now they are heralded as a hero for taking a shot at Blizz.

Which is asking the players to fix their mess.
Which is far too late, that was what the solution everyone recommended before they merged all the realms and they’re expecting US to fix the issue THEY caused.
Again, this is why people are frustrated. Not impatient, justifiably frustrated.
I dont think they’re lying at this point about not being able to do anything. However, the investment to insure that the queues were this bad wasnt made - and they had years to prepare for it. Were talking about wotlk here.
Couple that with not capping the servers - AND allowing people to transfer to heavy servers was asinine.
The new servers they made already have 2+ hour queues.
Meanwhile not a word from Bliz to players expressing any sympathy or admitting the cluster of a job we got here.
By the way when FFIV did lock the servers - they did it quickly, and offered a monetary payback to players affected.
Nothing like that from the far richer Blizzard. Its just poor service, period. Theres no rebuttal to that.

I find it interesting that you were one of the biggest cheerleaders of the megaservers and were nasty to so many people with complaints when the servers were dying one by one.
The only people we know for sure have actual accreditation are the blizzard employees telling us it is not possible, not a random poster claiming they have a background.
They could be an entry lvl IT clerk for all we know

about why they can’t take more people onto the same servers? Yeah companies love losing money.
None of these armchair engineers have seen behind the scenes or what the issues are they are all speculating and looking at games with half the daily active players saying “see they can do it why cant wow”

a community council poster is just a regular player who has contributed in some way to the community. They don’t have a resume in being a Lead Server Engineer
