I think the biggest draw back is that a second account isn’t considered an extension of the first if it’s under the same B-net account. Sharing achievements and account bound stuff would be a nice change.
Wondered forever why they don’t add “easy money” stuff to the store like
- more characters on your account
- more bank tabs
- larger regent bags
- account-wide regent bags
- etc etc
I dont understand why so many characters? I get having same charcters on different factions. But having play trough same content over and over again with 50 characters is, in my mind, a big waist of time. Maybe having one of each class perhaps, yes, but in end its still same process, you target, kill, loot and repeat. Who cares if you use a bow or sword.
Am i wrong?
They just upped it to 50 in the past year I think.
Already people want more? Damn. I mean sure but I don’t think Blizzard will do this yet.
No it’s always been 50. What they did recently was allow you to have all 50 characters on one server.

I find 50 toons unimaginable. It is perplexing, what do you really do with that many alts?
I have (mentally counting)… 18 toons, on 3 servers. I’ve deleted a bunch over the years too because I never had the time or inclination to continue playing them.
Generally, I have always had two mains who complete everything and gain the achievements, one Alliance and one Horde.
I’ve tried every class and found the ones I really like, 5 plus my original Shaman on Alliance side. I’d never make and level another it is just that tedious.
While I have tried all the races except for a few of the new Alliance ones that I just opened, I’d rather pay to swap a toon’s race… however there is the heritage gear, if you like collecting that.
12 classes, 8 professions, 3 gatherers, or 21 distinct races, 2 factions… I don’t know if pvp twinks are still a thing, but time. There is not enough time in the day unless all you do is spend your life in Wow. Or, you just keep a lot of toons and never delete them because you are like that… I have a friend who does that. Or block names you like, that is another things I can see for having so many toons.
Just really curious what someone does with 50 toons…
Everyone is different and what works for one doesnt always work for another. I like making and leveling characters.
Its a difference of playstyle.

Well I got me alts, just ain’t got no 50.
Some people have ‘‘self-control’’ and actually are only able to play a handful of characters during the week… when you can prove you can play and give attention to more than 50 characters then fine, 'till then it’s not a freakin trophy case… get help if you can’t delete some pixels.

More seriously. I personally make a ton of stories and it gets me moving to make the characters and play em once in awhile. You can bet on SLS I’m gonna finally level most of my alts. Only thing holding me back has been that ridiculous level grind. (I know it’s better than ever but still) that and like… Having an allied race have to work through previous expansions they didn’t exist in.
Anyways it costs me 15 bucks approx per month per account. Let’s say blizz made character slots cost 5 bucks. In week one alone I’d consolidate my two accounts to one and net them a quick 170 bucks… Given that I don’t usually bother spending the 15 dollars on the other account, blizz would make a killing. Maybe they’d do less store mounts.
I need more than 50 because I like reserving names on many servers that I might one day play on.
Same situation- with allied races, i am at 46 slots full, and still haven’t seen vulpera, mechagnome, or 8.3.5 allied races yet.
Another 15-25 slots wouldn’t ruin blizzard’s finances i think.

Willing to do. I’ve been saying to increase the cap for months now or let me combine accounts and pay $30 a month with a hundred character cap 
There are things worth paying for and things not worth paying for but this is different for each person.

I’m at 46 120s, 48 when I get the rep for Dark Iron and Kul Tiran, 1 80 for Herlad and 1 110 twink. New account will be for I dunno what 2 alts to make room for Mecha and Vulpera. You don’t have to double the cap or whatever just make room for allied races when they are added. Add 2 races add 2 slots.

Apparently your response is that of the mindset who does not understand a “collector” or that of “attachment.” I believe we all play in a style that makes us happy and I dont judge, especially when I dont understand.
