Yeah that’s about as solid a promise as my stool this morning.
We had the end of season announcement on Monday.
Dude get out of here with this nonsense.
There has literally never been an expansion where you could hit max level just doing the story quests in each zone.
You guys make up new hyperbole every expansion.
No, in most expansions I was at max level well BEFORE I finished all the zones. And I didn’t have to scour the map looking for side quests to do it.
You have the time walking dungeon event this Tuesday, reputation buff still in effect the rest of the month, halfway through brewfest, there’s no chance it comes out on Tuesday, it’s coming out on the 6th, most people know that though.
Yeah, you maxed your level doing all the quest you came across. I don’t know if you realized it yet but many of those were this radical new idea called, “side quests”.
You have never once leveled in a current expansion only doing the story quests in each area. That’s just a blatant lie.
They’re not going to give two week notice. That much is abundantly clear. They’ve been giving multiple warnings that time is running out so that people can finish up the things that they’re working on.
I fully believe that they originally intended to have prepatch go out this week or next week, but are running in to too many bugs, which is why they’re being so vague about when exactly prepatch is coming. They want to get it out as soon as they can, but they don’t want to commit to a date yet.
Time for irl. The social media types have to say nice things (or bad things in a nice way) in order to continue to get access to the devs and/or alpha. Access pretty much means $$$ for them (especially during alpha/beta) because it gets them streamer subs and ‘donations,’ Youtube views, and sweet Patreon $$$.
And each represents a specific constituency depending on what type of audience they cater to, So they are also lobbyists trying to persuade devs what they want or don’t want in the game. Whether their interests align with yours is the key.
In MoP, without looms, I did 2/3 of the Jade Forest, part of Kun-Lai, part of Krasarang, and Valley of the Four Winds. I didn’t even SEE Townlong or Dread Wastes until I the end of the expansion and decided I wanted Loremaster. And I’m sure I did side quests, because there was no convenient “story campaign” marker in those days, but people in the beta forums are talking about full clearing the first two zones to make sure they can get through the last two zones. I sure as heck wasn’t full clearing ANY area on my way to 90.
Yeah and that’s necessary. There aren’t just one group of people playing the game. There are Mythic raiders, M+, and PvP are all vastlly different and need different types of input. Just because a streamer caters more to a specific type of content they watch doesn’t mean they don’t want other people to enjoy content they like. They just give feedback on the content they enjoy which helps the community and the devs to know what they are looking for. This is not a bad thing as you have tried to portray it as.
This is literally not true. Preach just released a video a couple days ago telling people to skip side quests in the first 2 zones and hit the majority of the side quests starting in the 3rd zone. There is literally no truth in there not being enough quests in the game to hit max level.
Mmm, easy one. Sacrifice a raid tier for player housing? See where social media influencers line up on which side of the fence. lol
It’s just a matter of degree.
FFXIV has player housing. Feel free to go there.
See perfect example below.
Is it Prepatch yet?
I know, right? I just can’t bring myself to play at this point. I want to level some new characters through the new system, I’m done with corruptions, and I just couldn’t get into the raids outside of BoD this expansion. I’m ready for the reset button. I’m really excited for it. Fingers crossed for sooner rather than later.
You literally said you wanted player housing at the cost of content other people enjoy. I told you to go enjoy that content that exists in another game. None of this had anything to do with streamers.
I can only assume you are a troll at this point because you keep moving the goalposts so there’s no point in discussing anything futher.
It was just an example to show that all player interests do not align and that the same applies to social media as well.
Personally, I’m okay with the garrisons as ‘player housing.’
I doubt that very much Ion and if so people doing it work for Blizzard and streamers so yeah they have to say good things. Really not that dumb either are other people don’t insult my intelligence please.
You must not watch very many streamers considering how many of them have been overly harsh towards Blizzard and the state of BFA since the Beta.
