Blizzard seems to be focused on Cosmetics as some great game changing reward. I guess Paper-Dolls are the new thing to spend hours of rep grind to attain. Personally, I would prefer more powerful equipment and would rather not dress up virtual toons that nobody will really note in game.
Catering to the Narcissist is the new ground game, while levelling up Trades is locked behind ever higher rep grind. Salad on the Side, anyone?

Mythic and Heroic dungeon rollout in TBC created a snobbish intolerant attitude that I loathe to this day. Separating the playerbase forced Blizzard to create dungeon finder to fill the void when all the LEET started judging other players by Achievement and iLvl and it split the playerbase from people just trying to learn the fights and work together.
Screw mythic, just make dungeons challenging to start with. So I am to be dismissed by an iLvl of only 360? I doesn’t matter when everything is scaled ad nauseum.
When a level 20 Disc Priest can one shot Boralus mobs, while a level 50 Frost mage has a harder time, something is seriously wrong with the game, the scaling, and this odd notion that iLvl makes any difference is flawed.
Cosmetics … fill that flaw nicely I suppose.

Not sure I understand what you are trying to convey. Transmogs are real, but You had to earn them first by actually acquiring them. A Rep grind? It’s like printing money and it devalues the money in the process. Why should a tradeskill recipe cost more than a transmog set? Cause it’s worth more, presumably…
Ngl SL had some pretty cool mogs. I love the black Venthy pants and I was surprised to be able to make use of the sofo shoulders. Not into a lot of the sets as whole, but the pieces within them are really good and seem to work with a lot.
I bring up your item level because you can achieve 385 ilvl from outdoor content with relatively little effort. And because you wanted more ways to gain power, it made me think you didn’t post on your main, but 360 item level is basically “I hit lvl70, now what?”
Scaling is a VERY good thing for the game. Players can go basically everywhere and feel like you don’t need to leave early. For example, if I think the story in Feralas I can finish the stories in the zone without feeling forced to go to Un’goro Crater or EPL/WPL.
With respect to Mythic+, they made a game mode that players enjoy, and it was a VERY strong addition to the game when it comes to utilizing assets. Rehashing content by way of Mythic+ is not a bad thing.
