Can someone explain to me why the OP thinks 5% Leech is better than the perfect secondary stat and gem socket?
Newsflash, 5% Leech is not much. Hunters have 10% when they have a ferocity pet out, and it amounts to petty amounts. 5% would be half of that.
The damage you get from the proper secondary/second would outweigh the leech, because the enemy will die faster too. And if your healers are even doing their jobs, leech won’t matter.
Even as a tank, leech is good, but secondary stats are way better.
Yeah, most anti-titanforging people wanted less RNG not more, lol.
The only one to blame on this is the developer. The same developer that said in the past that they wanted i-level upgrades to actually BE upgrades with no question or looking at third-party sites. Then they introduce corruption.
It’s a trend. Blizz implements something, people get up in arms over it, Blizz switches it out for something worse, people get up in arms over it. You would think after a while people would see what they are doing for themselves and stop it.

Fixed that for you. A lot of people loved Titanforging. It was pretty much the raiders who hated it, but the game needs to stop being balanced around them.

Oh my bad, thanks for fixing that for me. It’s the same concept no matter how you “fix it”. It’s been a problem for IDK how long and Blizz never replaces anything with anything nicer nor better.
It wasn’t just the raiders that hated it, I read these forums enough to know better.
Remember when we had a chance to get armor in our chests. The complaining on these forums because no one was getting it, or “some” weren’t, was ridiculous. Blizz was like hmm ok let’s put in a system where you can buy it. System goes in. OhEmGee it takes how much to get the BEST piece of gear. OMG Blizz, what have you done!? I will NEVER get this now! You had a better chance in the chest, you complained, boom.
I started looking at the raid history of the people against TFing on the forums.
Trust me, 99% of them were raiders. There was a spare person here and there that weren’t, but that’s about it.
Almost all my friends loved Titanforging, cause it not only lowered LFR queue times, but it kept World Quests relevant. Now World Quests are pointless and LFR is over an hour queue for DPS.
I would take TF over this anyday, anyday.
I don’t like corrupted gear, but I only have to deal with it 2 more weeks until my sub runs out.
Without account wide essences, I’m not playing.
This expansion is bad decision after bad decision.

This scares me more than any other statement he’s made.
Looking at corrupted gear and saying “Yes, we want MORE of this” absolutely terrifies me.
I really am not going to enjoy another patch cycle with this kind of gear.
-I don’t want more layers of RNG on gear
-I don’t want gear that makes the people I group with explode because they want to be carried
-I don’t like that otherwise good gear is essentially a huge disappointment because it either didn’t corrupt or corrupted in the wrong way.
I despise this system. I can’t believe I actually want titanforging back over this crap. And I hated titanforging.

Hell, my character is a good example of why corrupted gear is bad.
I’ve yet to get a single useful corruption. Just Void Ritual on 420 gear, which is lower than most of mine, or useless ones like “Increases the Versatility from gear by %”
Meanwhile, someone 20 ilvls lower than me will probably outdamage me if they get Infinite Stars or such.

My alts who don’t even run M+ are better geared than my main who’s had the advantage of several weekly chests just because all he’s gotten is void ritual for corruption. It’s depressing.

Not everyone against titanforging hated the basic idea of it, though. I personally thought thunderforging and warforging were great. Having a mega 60 i-level titanforge was kind of dumb though. If they would have made 10 or 15 i-levels the limit that would have been perfect. Basically a nice little bonus you could potentially get, but not impinging on the next tier of difficulty’s rewards.
Well as a healer main I’m not to “pleased” with the crap myself. Healing people that think it’s cool to stack it and take all the damage in the world and it’s my job to heal through it, rarely do I go oom in keys but it’s been happening a lot lately. Watching someone’s “thing from beyond” smack them for half their health on top of all the other damage that is going out.
Where is the healing bonus’ on corrupt gear? If I wanted to roll DPS I would have, why am I not getting some great healing bonus from this gear? It’s all for DPS. No thank you.

BFA has the two worst gearing systems in WoW’s history - Azerite and Corruption. I cannot ever remember a time when I have actively disliked gearing to such a great extent. I am tired of saving up residuum every week from M+ chests only to strike out again and again on good Azerite traits.
I am also tired now of having to not only hope a piece of corrupted gear drops, but that it has a trait I actually want. And for the pleasure of winning the RNG lottery on corruption gear, I now get the privilege of having to deal with additional obnoxious effects while in combat. Fun! Honestly if I was maining one of my casters I think I would have quit the game by now.

My group mate feels you on that. We’re a duo, I’m a blood dk and he’s a disc priest. Corruption has been an absolute nightmare with groups. We only run with guildies now because so many people just do not understand that taking extra damage puts a burden on the other players

You’ll find as you have this conversation with more and more people that the ones who say they enjoy corruption are the people who tend to have already looted the “good” pieces they’ll keep forever.
I run a lot of content that has the potential to drop corrupted gear and unfortunately I have not won the lottery yet. That is what is so frustrating about it. This patch is becoming more frustrating than fun. I just don’t understand how the amount of gear I acquire on a daily basis still results in no/bad corruption. Meanwhile we have tanks and healers doing 50k+ dps overall in mythics. It just feels bad to miss out on the main gear feature of the patch simply because rng has decided I’m not worthy. At least with titanforging, even if you were not very lucky with those drops, you didn’t also have to worry about gear randomly shooting out lasers of death that delete mobs. Where’s my twilight devastation? Where’s my infinite stars? Heck , where’s my gushing wounds? No, please Blizzard, keep giving me all the versatility you can muster, that’s how I enjoy my wow -_-

You are 100 percent on point with this. I’m waiting (as a healer) to get myself a nice piece with some Twilight D on it. The irony. I would go DPS and never look back.
