Corruption may be objectively worse than TFing

It isn’t objectively worse, rather just “worse.”

I still just go with ilevel. I have 445 wrist, just from stupid vision getting thrall on the way out got 420 wrist; 420 had infinite stars on it. I thought about how it would likely be more damage, but then decided I’m not going to play that game and just scrapped it instead.

As a semi chaotic casual mainly soloer, Titanforging was fantastic. It only made a thing better, while I was not trying to have the support of any other player/group of raiders who seemed to be demanding that everything I had was titanforged and slotted (why do you people play with them, then complain about such systems?) So I did not depend on such “happy accidents”, which were only such to me (happy accidents.)

Leech constantly returns health to yourself which is a high rate of healing on the meters but not always the most meaningful in pve, depending on the fight. In situations of burst group dmg you will rarely be able to skip a gcd on yourself due to leech and anytime youre not taking dmg its just empty meter padding.

My weapon is the perfect example. I looted that in Holy, HOLY!!! Why do I get a DPS effect in a HEALING spec!?

Bracers, same thing. DPS effect in a healing spec.

Where are the freakin’ healer effects! This is the worst!

It’s the best corruption I have in terms of progression as disc so I can’t really justify not running it, because I’m able to focus on applying atonement to the raid rather than myself, and were meeting damage checks.

never complain about anything, it will just be made worse.

Blizz truly hates their customers…

Objectively is a fact, subjectively is an opinion. Regardless, I agree with your opinion and it is an awful system. I never had a problem with TF though.

Its your decision to make, of course. I’m just pointing out that its effect on your meter/parse is rarely going to be equaled by its increase in your effectiveness in aiding your group.

Titanforging was outdated once Mythic was introduced. Only Ion felt the need to add a replacement to something that was no longer needed.

You would think a guy who used to criticize EQ devs all the time for their MMO design would understand a bad system when he see’s it.

I am not sure why in gods name Blizzard has become obsessed with these Korean RNG mechanics in a western MMO that have proven time and time again to destroy a games population.

What would you recommend instead? I’d like to be able to be effective as possible in terms of aiding the group

Well it can’t be worse than azerite traits that make you stack certain secondary stats just to make them better.

Azerite traits are one of the biggest failures from an expansion I can remember. They are all passive and boring as hell anyway. Just RNG on top of RNG for the sake of it.

I’m not sure what corruptions scale with actually. Haven’t even paid attention to them.

Corporate parasites, really. People can try to explain that away, but it’s still parasitism that is what’s damaging the games industry on the whole.

There’s no question that corruption’s gameplay mechanics serve a tiny part of the population.

People who are addicted to spreadsheets and premium memberships to simming sites are loving this.

Hah thank you! Now that I’ve had a chance to rant, I’ll add something constructive to the conversation.

I’m personally not entirely opposed to the concept of corruption, I just think it was executed poorly. Let’s say in this scenario corruption tuning was already done when the patch launched. In my opinion it would be better if players had some way of targeting a corruption effect they want, even if it required some sort of time commitment. I would be less frustrated now if I knew that I was still working towards getting something that I would like to have. I’m just making stuff up here, but what if we earned “points” for completing end game content like mythics, horrific visions, N’zoth’s assaults, and raid bosses that we could then spend towards a corruption effect? That’s probably not the best idea but something, anything, other than just hoping and praying each week at our pve cache that we’ve hit the jackpot. I mean, I’m a ret paladin, I’m not exactly the most desired dps in any group setting. Not having good corruption on top of that is certainly not helping.

I think it would be perfectly acceptable to have targetted affixes on corruption, similar to titan residium. When you cleanse a corrupted piece, get a doohicky currency out of it. With enough doohicky’s, you can ask Wrathion to put a specific corrupted affix on your gear.

While I still dislike how much it has ruined pugging with people constantly taking hits from things from beyond, I would at least feel better about the system if I could actually get an affix that was of benefit to me.

First time on the WoW history u can upgrade your ilvl or damage causing damage yourself, what is the possitive point if in a fight u will receive extra damage from your own equipment, makes no sense. I don’t like this.
