while i agree with your sentiment, that’s what’s supposed to make them so special to the ones who were able to obtain them. i was on the verge of completing the MT on my dh but failed as time ran out on obtaining them. so be it.

Anyway, they don’t shadow ban. A post that is reported enough will get greyed out pending Mod review. Then the mod either removes the flag, or penalizes the person with a suspension. If someone gets suspended they will get an email along with one of the posts that were reported.
There is nothing shadowy about Blizzard when they suspend people.
Actually because some bean counters discovered that some people pay for their subscription just to post here, they have decided to take different approaches to moderation here.
Ghost bans or shadow bans are the tool that you will see in the future.
No, we won’t. They don’t do that and have no plans to. They don’t care if people pay a sub just to use the forum. The forums are such a tiny fraction of the player base, and the ones who only pay JUST for forums are a tiny fraction of that.
So a tiny bit of a tiny bit means nothing worth developing new tools for. They are not going to shadow ban people. If you get a suspension they will flat out tell you. Both in an email and via a forum notification.
Now, people may put you on Ignore so they don’t have to see your posts and they may refuse to talk to you. That is not Blizzard doing it though.
