They never did. I was around for Prepared 40 box team. Never had lag issues. And this was on an 3rd Gen i5 with 24 gigs of ram and a potato Video Card.
Also there hasn’t been a 20 box team since they changed the rules. Most you are gonna see are 5 box teams if you actually see one at all.

The server handles thousands of players, literally thousands. No, 5 to 20 are not an issue. They may be for your connection or system, but thankfully multiboxing is extremely rare these days due to the restrictions placed on them.

and what about bots in both versions of the game classioc a retail?
Well, are you reporting them? Sounds like you are making excuses. Blizzard’s policy on botting is well known.

Still wouldn’t have any appreciable effect on your latency or framerate. Those issues are most assuredly on your end.

might be a good thing that this computer is the way it is cause i can catch them all I have to look for is the lag in certain spots of the geame
Has absolutely no meaning to catch bots. If you suspect someone in-game is botting, right click report them. Lag means your computer is not up to par and possibly your ISP isn’t the best either.

I WAS IN RETAIL AND CAUGHT PLENTY OF DRUIDS MULTIBOXXING by the lag i got when i hit that certain spot it would not happen unless someone was multiboxxing or botting ingame when i was near them and yes the game was running smoothly ingame back during legion
Then honestly? You need to take the advice given by the other helpful people in this thread and report your suspicions to hacks@blizzard.com.
At this point, the thread is going in circles. You were given the proper path to take. Reporting via the forums will do nothing.
If you’re having a technical issue, then you need to post in the Technical Support forums.

Which isn’t against the rules as long as they’re not using hardware or software to multibox.
If it only happened when there was a large number of players near you, then that still points to your setup, system or connection. These are all hardware issues that you should be taking up in the Tech support forums.

I can’t believe I read all this and I can’t believe it’s still going.

For the record this is a player to player support forum with blue moderation they dont pass on sold accounts botting reports or cheating report.
All proper reporting methods have been posted as well as where to send info on sold wow acccount.
Alot of information on how to improve your gameplay has been througly been covered.
I not realy sure what else needs to be covered at this point.

Multiboxing was never against the terms of use, it was just unsupported. There is a large difference in forbidden and unsupported. With the latest policy changes, the use of hardware or software to assist in multiboxing is now against the terms of use, but multiboxing using non-assisted ways is still permitted, and still unsupported.

Wrong, Multiboxxing has been allowed since vanilla, just unsupported.

And, once again, multi-boxing is not against the rules.

Folk, we don’t need to “win” this thread.
Go butter some toast and have some tea instead.

The system requirements have been updated at least once since then. Your issues resides squarely in your outdated hardware. No amount of ‘yeah, but what about’ is going to change that.
It’s not botters. It’s not multiboxers. It’s not script kiddies in your battlegrounds. It’s not even your cousin.
