or na cbf just buy the stuff?
first aid mandatory?

I did at the start cause it had some gold making potencial, now a days I dont even remenber the last time I cooked something
even to this day I dont have first aid on my main
I feel like more people would fish if the game had boats and beer
I mean i guess there is a way you could make that work. But if i wanna put a paddleboat on a pond in westfall and drink a little, id probably be more apt to fish
First aid is still useful up to WotLK.
Fishing/Cooking is best to level up on at least one character. Significantly useful for the hunter class.
I did the fishing tourny in stv couple weeks ago for the first time, didnt see many people fishing ~6-10 if that on a med server, thought I lost when I saw someone’s name pop up in the announcement, handed in and won the rod, went out again try my luck at the fancy rare fish, handed in for quest again for the piranha trinket, idk what was up with winning twice.
Golden Fishsticks and Poached Bluefish make me about 200-400g every Tues/Thurs for maybe an hour of “work” at the most. I’ll usually come out of Nagrand with 3-4 Primal Water and Primal Air as a result of it too.
I do the cooking and fishing. There’s a guide which outlines how best to do both. I also do the first aid since it allows me to heal if I can achieve a pause in combat with cc.
cooking is good if you want to save silvers on you consummes, sometime mats are cheaper and i just cook myself some fish stick or some mudfish.
This is a video game played for entertainment purposes. Nothing is mandatory.
Trades are all part of a very large game. Level them if you want. Or just ignore them. Nothing is mandatory.
I’ve leveled both fishing and cooking on this toon, I can’t be bothered to do it on my other charaters though i leveled fishing on my druid only because I wanted to get it high enough for The Luker Below in SSC.
First aid isn’t mandatory but for melee classes I’d say it’s highly advised to take.
I flip talbuk venison (and other cooking items where the raw material costs less than the cooked version) and convert into spicy talbuk for double/triple the price.
I also fish for gold which while isn’t the best gold maker, it’s very chill.
Fishing is easier to level in wotlk if you wanted to wait. Cooking is super easy to level, even more so if you combine fishing with it. I did fishing on 2 toons, and cooking on all (as it’s so easy).
1st aid I tend not to level really on classes that can heal.
First aid will be useful for some classes early leveling if you are one of the last person who level their character themselves and don’t buy boost from blizzard or from a mage
First aid is absolutely mandatory IMO. Even for classes who can heal (can save you when OOM, silenced, etc.)
Started in OG Vanilla and not once have I leveled cooking or fishing—although it is a great money maker, I don’t believe it’s mandatory
I level up cooking on everyone and have fishing maxed on 3/6 of my 70s. I like to be super self-sufficient and farm all my consumes so this is good.
I used to hate fishing but started having fun with the random crates in the fishing pools near the end of Classic (Vanilla).
First aid while not absolutely necessary can help in dungeons, raids, and PVP - esp for non-healing classes, and it is also the easiest to level.
Those crates we’re like mithril lockboxes that everyone can open, they’re even aptly named mithril bound trunks.
I got into fishing because of alchemy, wanted to make blackmouth oil for FAP’s and later on needed fire oil for greater firepower potions.
Now in TBC I can get my raid food from fishing and I can also get scrolls to sell on the AH.
In WotLK fishing is going to be a big money maker with the pygmy suckerfish being used as a main ingrediant in both of the haste potions (wild magic and speed) among other things.
Stonescale eel during classic was a solid money maker, and cooking went along with the level up. Once you get to 300 and tbc comes out, passive level up via dailies.
First aid mandatory for warriors.
I leveled fishing and cooking on my main because its really useful to have, plus the 2 dailies for extra income. In WOTLK you can level fishing on any toon by just afk fishing in the dalaran fountain.
this is all i do in TBCC cuz everything else is full of bots and spam so yes do this its end game content
I always max tertiary professions on my mains and even my higher played alts.
yeah like there is no fishing bots
