I keep getting disconnected. My internet is fine. Why is this happening?

Not sure what kind of answer you’re looking for here, but that’s not enough info for anyone to do troubleshooting for you.
Add a network test or describe when you’re disconnecting, etc.

I play then randomly disconnect. I log in then hour or so I disconnect again. I disconnected like 8-9 times today. My internet is fine. About every hour and half or so I get disconnected.
I was even disconnecting during a rp event on Wrymrest on another character. My internet is fine.

So are you reporting that Lightning Hoof is offline?
In order to troubleshoot, you have to look at your own connection as a source of the issue. Otherwise, there’s not much we can do for you in this forum.

What kind of info do you need or how to represent it, plz? 
I keep getting terrible world ms times. 8k ms atm. @_@ Been happening, the past few days.
It’s really bad, tonight. I’m on Dalaran server.
My drives are updated, I’ve cleared the cache, internet speed test seems fine, no other programs open except bnet launcher; I did a repair w/the bnet launcher. Not working out. lol T.T
My internet is fine. I can just fine on other games. Except World of Warcraft.
The problem is no matter what character I log on. I get disconnected like every hour and a half from the server. Not just this character or server. Today I disconnected from server to main menu like 7 to 8 times on a different character.
Its not a internet problem its a server stability problem. I can like play other mmo’s with no issues. Even some with more resource intense no issues no disconnects. Just this game im having connection issues with.

If the server was going down every 30mins, the forum would be absolutely flooded with posts about your server specifically — but it’s not.
Is every game you play hosted on Blizzard’s servers and in the same city? I doubt it. The internet is more complex than “I can connect to Final Fantasy, so I should be able to connect to everything on the internet!”

So no one else is having connection problems to World of Warcraft?
Not trying to argue im trying to say I keep getting disconnected I don’t know why. I do not have feeble internet connection. So something else is cutting off connection. I don’t wish to start toying with files cause I don’t want to spend 2 hours redownloading 120+ Gigabytes to reinstall.

Well that’s exactly what troubleshooting involves — collecting diagnostics and reviewing them. I’m going to excuse myself from this thread since I’m not interested in the blame game.

I do not understand. But I wanted some help fixing a connection problem not to pass blame. But if there is a way to do this without damaging my game files I will do it. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
What scans do I need to run?

Wired or Wireless? If wireless try wired. If wired try using your Hotspot on your phone or a VPN see if the issue continues to happen. Gathering diagnostics on your computer in no way should damage any files.
It’s like doing a report, you need to know the who, what, where, when, and why to make the report comprehensive for everyone looking at it.
Think of the internet like a highway. There are off ramps along the way to your destination and if there is congestion you would experience slow driving, possibly stops, before you get to your destination.

I also have had this issue today. since 6am I have been booted about 14 times randomly - most times it is herbing or mining. I have gone in and purposely updated all of my drivers manually since windows update insists they were current.
I am wireless, but speed tests show me clocking between 242 and 260 MBS DL and 22 Upload speeds.
windows even logs do not sure any system or application errors to explain the DC’s. I know it is not the Alleria realm and on my end, but I am unsure what to check - as with the poster above, no other apps funning - even turned off all addons to try and see if anything there could be having issues, but didn’t seem to help.
for me the issue started with the Expansion as I did not seem to have this issue in Dragon.
just seeking some direction on what to try.

It’s terrible today. I am getting kicked every 10 minutes no matter what I’m doing. I highly doubt it’s you. It’s happening to a lot of us. I’m on Misha.

Speed tests mean nothing as you are not testing the route to the servers. The path the game takes could have an issue along the route. Just like a highway if there is congestion along the route you will have issues. If wireless try wired or use your hotspot on the phone see if the issue persists.

Having the same issue here. Constant disconnects. Internet ISP, routing etc… is all fine. This is server related. Asked many other players on my server and they are experiencing the same issue as well. Not everyone mind you some are not. Just replying to let you know you are not alone. Edit: Full wired connection as well not wireless I never play wow on wireless.

I understand the line speed is not to the server - I used it as a test from my laptop’s wireless adaptor to make sure I had a strong signal from the PC to the router/modem.
I am pretty sure the issue is a plugin - I turned them all off, and seemed stable for a few hours. now adding them back a little at a time to see if i can isolate the plugin.
i know the issue is 1000% on this end, and I realize the poster above made it seem it was the server - which is wrong. the only thing i haven’t tested as yet is wired, as that is being used with my wife work setup - and she was using it.
I too had problems all day long yesterday. For me it is when I get on my mount to lift off and fly when I am on a rock cluster. But, I also got disconnect in the middle of a delve. Luckily I had made it to the stone and when I logged back it I was in the same spot in the delve.

How are we supposed to provide the info the others need to see if it’s a problem w/our computer? I asked earlier, but not gotten a response.

I am getting disconnected when lifting off with mount dragonflight mode, it happens quite often. Also in last week or so world latency spikes 600 to 8k started to occur every hour or so. Doing common troubleshooting yielded no result.
