I keep getting disconnected also. I can be on a flying mount or in a dungeon, doesn’t matter, only it’s happening to me about every 30 minutes, really frustrating. I’ve checked memory, FPS, nothing there.
I’ve had issues for the past 2 days. Previously I had to play on a VPN so I wouldn’t get DC’s. Now that’s not even working.
@Elocin : WinMTR to 137.221.105.2 still the best way to get some insight? I’d like to go to my ISP with some information if possible.
Unfortunately, none of the server IPs are public info these days.
Oh, then what network tests are you looking for…?
You would need to lookup the Google datacenter IPs of the server locations you’re trying to play on. They are public info, but they’re not an official troubleshooting method that Blizzard offers — this process is how I would personally troubleshoot the issue. However, this thread has been derailed a bunch, so I won’t be doing any further troubleshooting here since it alerts all participants. If you look those up and want to post a network test, please start a new thread to do so.
I came online to see if anyone else was having this issue and found this thread.
I am on wired connection, been disconnecting randomly on and off every 30 min to 2 hours. I have no idea what the problem is, checked my internet and it is fine. Did all the trouble shooting that I can possibly find on youtube and other threads like trouble shooting addons, files and caches, renaming them to Old. Did the repair method on the battle net for WoW. I have tried almost everything, and it keeps happening. Did the bug addon and says I have no bugs or corruption. I am on stormrage server, so I am just stuck at this point with no answers or solutions either.
we appreciate you replying, and I had hoped to try and get the discussion back on track and not have it be the finger pointing it was. as someone who works in IT, I get your frustration as I deal with it every day myself.
as I said - any suggestions, at least to those of us that empathize with you volunteering to help would be appreciated.
my subsequent testing of plugins did not yield useful results - yesterday am I dc’d 3 times int he 1st 20 mins of playing - yet today I have been on almost an hour with no issues.
I’m Win 11 - 64 Bit
I was wondering if the Wireless adaptor was causing issues, but i cannot see anything out of the ordinary in the event logs. would you are anyone else have ideas of where else to check? does the client side of wow have any error logs that can be looked at?
Still getting a lot of disconnects… it even disconnects me from battle net
This just happened to start with me yesterday. I went DC 3 times in a dungeon today
guess we are on our own on this. no idea why it is occurring. oh well
I reset my router and it fixed it
I replaced mine lol.
it is all good - it happens with no plugins running, running with plugins. drivers for every conceivable thing on here that I could update. wired or wireless - when wireless I have a 200+ mbs speed to the modem, and 500+ mb from spectrum to the modem/router.
windows even viewer shows no failures or errors.
some days it happens a lot and some a little. yesterday i logged in and it immediately disconnected - and then didn’t for about 5 hours, the 3 times in a 2 hour span. and not just in TWW, but in old content areas as well.
sadly the guy that started the thread was kind of rude to the volunteer that was trying to help, and I was hoping they would come back, but sadly i think they washed their hands of it - and I do not blame them.
I have worked in IT for 27 years in the banking world - and it can be a very thankless job.
I have been having issues staying connected to the battle.net app ever since the maintenace today. this also kicks me off the game.
i am not getting paying to diagnose blizzards problems.
replying in the hopes of maybe getting some help.
today I dc’d entering the slaughter house in TW, I DC’d on the pull for Sha in Tanaris, and I just DC’d landing in Unu’pe.
the DC’s are random and not sure what to do - I get 20 to 30 DC’s a day sometimes, and some of the times - it causes me to get no credit for a kill, and I have to do the quest or instance all over again to get it done.
this issue, for me at least, only started with TWW expansion. removing all plugins has not helped, updating all drivers has not helped either. no windows even log errors, 240mbs wireless speed to router - with a signal booster. 500+ on direct wired - DC’s randomly on both.
it is really frustrating - and I know I’m not the only one having it
