I’m playing wow free trial.
I’d like to know what happens if I subscribe and then let my subscription lapse - Can I continue playing wow free trial with any level 20 characters?

Yes. An account with lapsed time reverts to veteran account status which is basically the same as a trial account except you keep any guild affiliation you may have. Characters over level 20 become inactive.
While you can bank up to 10 levels of xp on a trial account, you also can’t bank xp on a veteran account.

I believe it is level 10 now for trial status.
They actually kept the leveling limit at level 20 for starter editions, which I thought was pretty awesome!

Cool. Last I had seen, one of the blues here had posted they thought the trial limit was going to be level 10 after the squish. That was before the squish though, and they never definitively stated it as such.

Trial accounts can also roll DK’s and DH’s. They both start at level 8.
