She made 10/10 model edits for troll beards too.
Itās nice to see some attention given to males as well!
Itās not that they canāt, itās that they wonāt. I mean realistically if Blizzard did Allied Races vs Core Races wouldnāt seem like such a second rated job with some like Nightborne, Highmountain Tauren and Lightforged Draenei worse off than others.

They look better than the beards Blizz has put in game.
Iād definitely love to see the Nightborne get pretty much of this as well.
After such a shotty experience, I feel like Nightborne players are due for a major amount of new assets.
Theyāre a different design, they are still faction specific facial tattoos. Theyāre not nearly detailed enough or at all distinctive of Celtic design. Celtic warpaint and tattoos are generally noted for spirals and knotwork. Not vague squiggles.

There are actually some more simple ones. Like lines and/or dots across the face and swooshes.
A lot including the line under the lip that you see in the elf picture you linked.
Keep in mind the game was limited so they could not get too complex.
Those arenāt Celtic. Peoples from Norway, Thailand, South America, Australia, hell everywhere did vague squiggles.
Just like they either cover their entire face or do lines, like Alleria.
Her tattoos are not distinct artistically from the Ranger tattoos.
The game is all we have to go on, fan art that increases the Celtic-ness and detail is not canon.
They had a variety is what Iām saying.
The point Iām trying to say is Alleriaās arenāt.
They had Celtic style clothing, Celtic Longhouse inspired Lumbermills, and the Celtic Inspired facial markings. Not to mention back then they had druids and runestones.
Itās safe to call them Celtic inspired or the 80-90s fantasy version of it at least.
Theyāre still Farstrider tattoosā¦
Okay, so youāre admitting you were wrong and theyāre not āAlleriaā tattoos, theyāre Farstrider tattoos then?

No.
Given that longhouses are Germanic this is an odd claim.
Weāve already covered this.
Seriously dude, you donāt know as much about Celts as you seem to think.
Add boots and a cloak and the first picture would be almost exactly what they looked like in the WC2 manual.
Remove the sword and change the chainmail to cloth and same for the second one.
The Germans are decedents of the Celts. Along with other northern european groups. And the longhouse dates back serval thousand years.
(Though there are some Irish ones too)
Though they only appear in the Germanic areas so I guess you got me there as āGermanic Longhouseā would be more correct.
I also need to point out that the original WC 2 elves where heavily based off classical fantasy which was based of Germanic/Celtic/Norse legends. So it makes sense for them to have Celtic traits.
Iām not going to try to excuse or justify myself here, all I will say is I strongly advocate for a white and blonde shade on Void elves because I simply really love these colors and find it silly to have to switch faction for a hair color.
I am tottaly fine with any hairstyles and hair colors being tottaly different to Blood elves and/or being taken by other races like Kulātiran or Draenei, or even have a navy blue voidy tinge to them to give this Corruption effect. Eg. the blonde can have dark blue on the bottom half with a starry shine for corruption, resembling that of the heritage armor.
I have previously supported Void Elves getting white and black as haircolors but not blonde and I still hold that stance.
As for this I have also supported Void Elves taking hairstyles from other Alliance races like Kul Tiran and Draenei rather than Blood Elves so I wouldnāt be against Blizzard doing that for Void Elves but the blonde haircolor Iām still not supporting, sorry.
Me too also as well. I want to represent alliance Silver Covenant, it is past due.
ā¦
Okay, Iām done.
Pick up a book.

Norse legends would fall under Germanic legends.
Pretty much just replace all the Thās and Rās in Norse legends with Dās and Arās and mainland German/Anglo-Saxon and Norse legends are exactly the same.
Itās almost as if they share a culture group.
Tell me when Germanic legends start featuring CuChulainn.
Largely depends on the time period the legends come from.
Modern geographical terms do not extend to all of history, so Northern Europe Indo-European would probably be a better description.
I get triggered when I hear people call things likes runes Norse instead of Germanic.
