How long dis take?

Quite a while, but it gets you a boatload of herbs.

I did it in Bastion on the main story quest, so mobs donā€™t scale up. Make sure to activate threads at 59 with one bar or so left though. Last I checked, Threads canā€™t be turned on at 60.

My druid had Threads pop for her one time when she logged in after hitting 60 this way, but Iā€™ve never heard of it happening for anyone else, so for all I know it was a glitch.

Itā€™s worth it for the gold. It makes Freehold gold look like BfA world quest gold by comparison.

Interesting, I might try this on a character when I have some free time here and there to see how it goes and since Iā€™m not in a rush like a rush to have more 60ā€™s it might work well for me. Haha.

Two things to add off the top of my head are the mana threads in the hair for Nightborne that the NPCs get, and bling for Goblins.

Zandalari need Loa-specific tattoos

Iā€™m neutral on Covenant customization options, but if they were to be a thing, Iā€™d definitely add blue hair to the Kyrian options.

Itā€™d also be sweet if we could turn our spells Arcane blue. Iā€™d love to have the option for my paladin to be blue skinned and blue haired like a Kyrian, using Kyrian Arcane spells instead of Holy Light.

MU Blackrock as well.

There are Horde aligned fel orcs, so yes if they class lock shamans.

I have tons of ideas for orcs but my big things are that arenā€™t mentioned here

  • More hair styles. In particular, dreads and the Grom and Kargath styles. Non-balding.
  • Male eyebrows
  • Clan tattoos
  • Warpaint that actually looks good
  • An actual jet black hair option. Before SLs the orc black hair was this weird light black/greyish color, and SLs fixed it a bit but it still looks weird on most styles.

Shattered Hand skin color.

Besides that same as orcs.

Would rather this as a model toggle for Forsaken but would rather trolls get it than no one.

Also on trolls, loa tattoos.

Model toggles for a few Horde races.

Facial hair.

A fully skeletal option.

If Alliance gets the forsaken model Iā€™d like for Forsaken to get the Kul Tiran buff model type exclusively so I can play one as a former knight of Lordaeron.

Loa tattoos and body paint.

A jet black fur option.

Muscular males and a sandal toggle for females.

Iā€™d like this.

Thereā€™s a giant worgen thread up for worgen ideas.

Sharing fur colors and fringe options with normal tauren.

For regular tauren, Grimtotem warpaint.

Same thinking here as with undead trolls, Iā€™d rather blood elves get these than no one but Iā€™d prefer them as a Forsaken model toggle.

Model toggle for a few Alliance races, and rename Lightforged Draenei to the Lightforged.

Having mentioned model toggles a few times, Iā€™m aware theyā€™re extremely unlikely to happen. I just want them to.

A-symmetric robotic parts as well, like one robotic arm and one intact.

A fully robotic option Iā€™d like as well.

You know how on the heritage belt you can see into the void?

Getting something like that as a hair color Iā€™d lose my mind for.

Yes we have many void colors already in the present but none are natural colors. So we need more natural color and natural hair first since we have void theme hair already present.

An Ethereal skin (bandages over raw Void) would be cool imo. Hereā€™s a mockup:

I happen to have a mockup of this lying around forā€¦ reasonsā€¦

Is it sad that I just noticed this, right before you posted, even though I made this like 4 months ago?

I think letting Zandalari use the same tattoos the Base Trolls use would work well too.

Oh, and a black color option for tattoos/face and point paint for all races that can use it

Ok, I think i got everything written down.
I knew this was gonna be a long one when I saw how long you were taking to write a reply lol.

I went Venthyr because - powers be damned - after playing in all 4 areas it was the only one I could see Wylee deciding to be part of. I donā€™t care about the relative power of the Covenant abilities because Iā€™m not min-maxingā€¦but that Door of Shadows is certainly handy in Torghastly for skipping over flames and past pendulums of doom. I havenā€™t checked to see if it will span the gap between some of the platforms but I think it might do that as well.

I take a bit of a different approach to picking a Covenant. Rather than thinking ā€œWhich one of these groups would my Maw Walker character enter into a Covenant with?ā€, instead I ask ā€œIf this character had one of these four as their afterlife, which one would it be?ā€

I know there are infinite afterlives, but this just makes it more fun for me for whatever reason. Thatā€™s why I changed Somandā€™s eye colour to this turquoise one, and went with a mog that has turquoise glowy parts and gems, skulls, and a tattered tabard.

This way I can headcanon her as an actual dead Maldraxxi if the mood strikes me. Or when I am imagining her as a living mortal Maw Walker, itā€™s still nice to blend in with my Covenant somewhat.

I donā€™t know why Iā€™m so fixated on the possibility of imagining my characters as being part of the afterlife theyā€™re in a Covenant with, but this makes Shadowlands more engaging for me.

Itā€™s why I had my paladin go Kyrian. I could never really imagine a plot for her, until I imagined her plot after death. I could see her becoming a Kyrian, and I even know what sheā€™d look like as a Kyrian. Since sheā€™s a human, sheā€™d be visually the same, but blue.

My warriorā€™s plot is a bit more vague in that I can see her being in any of the four afterlives really (except maybe Ardenweald). Sheā€™s currently in the Kyrian Covenant, but since I just caught my paladin up to where she was in the Kyrian story, I might switch my warrior to Venthyr. If I do, I plan on matching her skin to the Venthyr as closely as I can with a void elf.
