I’ve done the SL Intro 5 times and I don’t want to anymore… after the second.
The melee animations for fem pandas are great.
The only thing about them I dislike about fem pandas is the sandals (which should’ve gotten a toggle, btw) and they only bother me when I look at them which is basically never.
It will never not confuse me whenever I think of them not adding a skip to that after the first time like the Legion and BfA intros.
At least the WoD and Pandaria intros are normal questing.
That’s how they made SL alt friendly, because the leveling experience makes you not wanna level alts
Male pandas have great melee too. Mine’s male, though with Shadowlands I can switch at my leisure, but sadly as a priest I never have a reason to melee.
Because no one escapes the torment of the Maw.
My first character through was a druid. Made every subsequent one that much more painful.
My first was a rogue and not having stealth afterward sucked.
The first character I had any attachment too was my warlock and being slow and no stealth has never felt painful, but it made leveling a priest and mage so painful I can only do it like once a year.
I so wish I could have my bow and stealth. Camo just isn’t the same.
I’m am completely turned off making some alts go in the SL because of it. Ugh
No, the creed was always to do it in moderation, enough so to stay healthy and to defend their lands, not like a crackhead trying to get their fix. Anyone who did behave like that in Blood elf society eventually turned wretched, and became exiled from their society - the beginning zone for Blood elves deals in this a lot. They go over it again when you’re facing the wretched in the Isle of Quel’danas as well.
Both resorted to draining, and using the local wildlife to empower, and defend themselves from encroaching threats, for the Blood elves it was the Undead, for the Kyrian it was the Forsworn. The only difference is the Kyrian’s bottled it and feed to their machines, the Blood elves absorbed it and used it as a weapon.
My Poor DK in his Legion Purples died in the Intro today because Darion ran off and my Howling Blast tagged 4 enemies by mistake when I was only after 1. (The Other 3 spawned nearby…)
I’m probably going to stick to just four characters for quite a while, one for each Covenant.
I’m so glad the Covenant intro is skippable on subsequent characters. Saves a bunch of time, and the Maw stuff there is even worse than the Shadowlands intro in some ways.
The stealth portion there doesn’t seem to be coded as well as during the intro, so when we did it Lance got dumped out of stealth right into a massive pack of elites. That was… less than fun.
listening to dialogue that most people don’t care about and would rather skip.
Threads of fate gives some renown to help catch up which is a big +1.
I was trying to hit 60 with no deaths but during that quest my pet aggroed like 10 mobs and ruined that for me.
That pissed me the hell off, the rest of the way to 60 (which was like 5 hours) I was moaning to myself about how that quest was BS and how I didn’t give a flying ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) about the dialogue I was having to sit through (which ended up being like an hour total).
The only other death I had to 60 was right before I hit 60 where I used soulstone to cheese the elevator which doesn’t count in my book.
This, so much this, I don’t know how some of my friends have like 3,4,5,6 60’s already because I could hardly stand leveling this one, gearing it and doing everything else from 50 to 60 then at 60. Haha.
Lance and I leveled to 60 together. Having two players instead of one makes things easier, but we were dual Arms warriors, so it was painful.
Our druids and my paladin all hit 60 off herbing.
We were gonna try Threads leveling on this character and his DK, but he hasn’t felt like playing recently.
Really can’t say I blame him, this xpac is a slog of an xpac and I don’t say that nicely and these days I’m pretty nice about most things.
It’s a good way to level but the zone balance kinda sucks, imo Revendreth is way faster and more enjoyable than the others and I got 4 levels out of it while I only got 2 out of the others.
I’m planning on leveling a few alts in the next two weeks but not doing anything with them for now, playing my main and keeping up with renown on my warlock feels like more than enough because of how long the anima one takes (which tbf isn’t that bad but I always try and do it in one go).
I’ve barely dipped my toes into this xpac yet, but I can still see it’s so much better than BfA that I could write a novel on the subject.
I think for Lance and I it’s just burnout.
Well for what it’s worth you both made it past me, I have 25 characters currently between the two factions and only 1 level 60 currently the others are sitting at 50 and 51 so you both lasted longer than me without being like nope not doing this again.
Literally only because of herbing. Our druids were actually our first characters to 60, and that happened by accident while we were getting in on that fat early xpac gold. 1.2 mil between the two of us on the second day alone. Nightshades were going for 1190g for a few hours that day. It was crazy.
After we got our warriors to 60, I continued herbing. At some point I decided I was gonna play my paladin, but rather than stop to actually level her, I just bought a Sky Golem and herbed on her till she hit 60. Two birds, one stone.
