To be fair they even outright said they weren’t trying to give all Core Races equal customization:
“Of course, some races have gotten more customization than others, and we make those choices vey specifically and we try to make use of our resources the best possible way to make sure we provide the best possible value for our time.”
Not saying I agree with them but that’s their statement on it
I was hoping the Delayed SL launch would have led to more stuff on release though
Hopefully that applies to who they continue to spend time on in the AR department too, as in the ARs who haven’t been anything as opposed to the AR on the same level if not better than many core races.
I wouldn’t say her “lore abberration” is as bad as you make it seem to be. But I’d rather that you don’t “poo on lore” just so you can “poo on” paladins.
Retcons had been happening throughout the history of the warcraft franchise, how ever paladin lore is not one of them that is retconned and hopefully never will.
Considering that paladins is one of their franchise iconic classes, they would hopefully know better not to!
This isn’t the first self insert, thrall is metzin’s self insert, but do go on.
You must hate cata don’t you? Thrall was literally green jesus during it, luckily calia isn’t anywhere close to that level… or that of Me’dan!
True statement.
What? really? They couldn’t think of better names? Like necro-knight or something? weird.
Paladin lore is super retcon now a dinosaur can give you light and the light is a universal force as good and bad as void is.
They also initially said forsaken would feel everything blah blah and then said “nah f it , they just aren’t paladins because it doesn’t fit” throwing the old explanation away.
Also paladins being naturally immune to undeath and curses was also retconed.
Hohoho, he already resorted to meme posting cause zero argumentation.
Don´t feel bad about your innacuracies guy, heck, considering your avatar is nothing but a Helfer looking Paladin fanboy (with Stormwind colors and all) shouldn´t you be pushing for the chance to actually roll an actual “Helf” Paladin all things related?
Please do so, maybe then all likeminded players will finally LEAVE THE BELVES ALONE and we actual fans of the race can get back our former Paladin flavor with nuance instead of the bland and boring “long eared humans” we have right now?
Yes, just like the Duke in Revendreth and the whole host of demented degenerated “once upon a time Venthyr” dudes living just outside Sinfall… and then we have Calia being a Light infused cinnamon roll and I literally LMFAO while watching her exist. Without looking emanciated and crazy, btw.
Thrall wasn´t threatening to boycott the whole freaking lore consistency of a completely opposite race to let a writer self insert her “mommy” tendencies on it.
so no. Thrall was BAD. Pretty Bad. But never as lore breaking for certain.
I do considering you jump like a nervous gerbil anytime someone threatens -or even mentions- something that makes the Paladin look anything but perfect and good and heroic.
In which narrative beating the light magic out of a Windchime made of it is the same as a Dinosaur NOT related directly to said magic (I mean dear Rezan is still related to Ardeweald. Spoilers, oops!!) suddenly having the power to fulfill the same niche as the Light itself?
The good ´ol times… better yet, the Belf stance regarding the Light was perfectly understandable imho taking into account it indeed left them to fend for themselves in their darkest hour (those paragraphs in “Blood of the Highborne” are… hard to read if one desires to keep the image of “The Light” as a bening entity).
Also, is not like the Naaru didn´t fought back, the b***ch basically drove Galell mad and all. In quite the cruel way btw (using someone´s trauma against them… classy for a supposedly “bening” creature).
Gal, if SL has taught us something is that death is only the beginning!!! Guy must be floating in the nether somewhere, I say we rescue him just to see the reaction of Velen.
Also… Anomaly No. 2: useful as expected. Please never change.
A Death Knight is a monster from Dungeons and Dragons. It’s a fantasy staple. Them being called Death Knights is like rogues being rogues and paladins being paladins.
