Not gonna lie, this reaction kind of put a smile on my face.
But really, it’s not that far off if you think about it. Blood Knights are not what they used to be anyway, for all we know, they now function in the same way as any other paladin.

possibly, but more likely they draw from the sunwell for their power.
But anyways I was simply thinking that since they have a heavy magic history, with multiple types of magic, it would be a shame if they don’t show it like with runic/sigil empowerment looking customization.
eeeek
When they first announced having two eye colors I had assumed based on their comments about the Sunwell that we would get these options.
Even Snowsongs points about possible HEs returning to Quel’thalas, if they had blue eyes upon returning maybe they for what ever reason with the Sunwell being half and half now half a golden eye and blue, representing the duality.
It really doesn’t matter there’s a plethora of reasons for the choice, my character was almost a Priest in selection screen so I felt golden eyes suited him, if in my player agency I wanted show the green eyes gradually I wouldn’t be able to because Blizzard in their lackluster work for BEs didn’t include the eye combinations.
I cried happy tears during that part of the quest/cinematic, but also the lore drop in it is veryyy interesting
There’s really no reason not to included mix eye colors (green/blue, green/gold, etc), as well as left and right blind options for each eye color. Hopefully, as more customization gets rolled out, Blizzard will start filling in those gaps from the initial customization pass.
It’s just like how the facial hair wasn’t separated into parts for Blood Elves while it was for other races. I’m hopeful that Blood Elf males will also get this treatment in the near future.
I know, I saw, and was so happy to see. Still, after doing that quest, and seeing that cinematic from Legion, it bought a tear to my eye as well.
Yeah … literally and this is why I am upset with BE customization I consider this pretty bare minimum which could have been done and still had BE new options as underwhelming, like opening the jewelry for male characters as well.
Instead we have to ask for the bare minimum so something tells me even when BEs if they get more it still won’t amount to anything meaningful like a second visual theme or tattoos etc.
So how nice it must be to already have your second visual theme while others need the bare minimum “no reason not to have it” options to be given out still. And this expands to more core races too not just BEs which is why idc if BEs are next to get re looked at, so long as it’s a core race like they had alluded to when selling the expansion.
Everything up to this point was fine and I was about to like your post… but you couldn’t just stick to the point you and I agree on could you?
I get that you’re bitter over the poor selection of options Blood Elves (and some other core races) got, and understandably so, but that’s not my fault, nor is it the fault of Void Elves as a race. It’s Blizzard’s fault for not managing their time well and not providing a sufficiently robust amount of customization for Blood Elves and the other core races.
You didn’t need to make a snide remark about “how nice it must be…” etc.
What do you think of empowerment sigil/runes idea I posted above, using at least 2 different sources of magic as empowerment? It would be in line of BE to empower themselves through enchantment runes and magic circles.
One shoulder/arm could have magic circle/runes on it yellow (holy) and the other green (fel or nature magic) for example, and the facial runes could be a mix of both. We could even go for 3 types with back/chest runes/magic circles.
I think this should be Blood elf only customization, since we could say magic empowerment would interfere with void magic that makes it harder to use the void for VE.
If Blizzard looks at this thread I want that point to be what comes across.
You already made it quite clear that you consider people advocating for the upholding of the last of BE uniqueness to be “wasting time” so what difference does it make how I structure my points to drive the point home Blizzard?
I do not nor have I ever posted on these forums for anyone other than getting my point across to Blizzard, and my point still stands regardless if you like it or not I feel it is a valid one to make continually if need be, we all know you continue to make your inroads in advocating for natural hair that doesn’t fit with the main VE theme, yet you’re actively telling me to stop my point of view?
Once again Nico you have managed to consider our division in agreement as being personal towards you.
Well it certainly feels personal when you reply to me with a snide remark. And make no mistake it was a snide remark directed specifically at me. I doubt you’d ever say such a thing to Somand for example.
Somand to my knowledge has no problem saying the new second visual theme for VEs is quite nice.
This is a statement in general addressing the entire situation, I included it because it was a response to you, so I both replied to you and used my reply as a spring board for my own points I hope to relay to Blizzard because believe it or not I am not here to chit chat with you, have I found our conversations decent in the past - yes, I will however continue to drive points I want across to Blizzard as I choose.
It is a good idea, we first need tattoos in general before we can mix them like this, but it is fun and creative.
Neither do I? I think it’s great.
This is a statement in general addressing the entire situation
No, it was a snide remark at me, even though my post was agreeing with you. And if you can’t see how I wouldn’t take that personally than I suggest you give a little more thought when replying to me in the future.
If you want to make a statement in general addressing the entire situation, you can do so without making a snide remark. And it was a snide remark born of bitterness, no matter how much backtracking you attempt to make.
Even if Somand had made the same exact reply to you about the eyes as I did, you would not have responded to her in the same way you responded to me. And you know and I both know that. In fact you probably would have liked that post and had a much more civil reply, but because it was me, you replied as you did, and that makes it personal.
Awe yes just the other day it was you clarifying you don’t villainize or paint other opinions in ill light, though you did elaborate you consider them a waste of time, now it is bitterness? Interesting.
It was illustrating a point I wanted to make yes, that is what I use the forums for, I have never however said your opinions are a waste of time or bitter. My dislike of your stance, and opinion and how that ties in with my posts to make a point to Blizzard on what I would like to see or not see for the game, is not personal with you.
If your comment elicits a response from me, I am going to tie it in with points I want to make to Blizzard about this topic, so yes my reply is both a reply to you tied in with general points I am making.
I’ll call a spade a spade when I see it. Same goes for a snide remark.
If your comment elicits a response from me, I am going to tie it in with points I want to make to Blizzard about this topic, so yes my reply is both a reply to you tied in with general points I am making.
So it was personal. Got it.
Such a tragedy to see friends become foes. Can’t you guys kiss and make up?
Despite people who have tried to paint BE options as being so over the top amazing, (often funny enough Alliance HE fans) I don’t take that personally, because being a BE fan isn’t integral to my identity, people throwing out comments not respecting peoples genders (and making the personal point it was meant in offense), to insinuations about needles, those all are very personal.
I do hope you note the difference in the future.
I know you’re asking Lann not me, but… I’m nosey.
I think the main issue here is that Blizzard usually works off of symmetry with player models. Might be hard for them to accomplish.
Still not a bad idea.
The considerable differences in what some races got compared to others is staggering.
Tattoos, scars, eye colors… These things should have been across the board.
Blind eye options should have included both eyes and all eye colors.
Ear sliders and tail lengths should have applied to every race with them.
Meaningful thought should have gone into customization, but blizzard for some reason thought this was better as a gimmick to sell their game.
