you’re missing the point.
it wouldnt be on purpose. itd be asking for ethereal customizations for velfs in different ethereal colors, where the body glow matches the eye glow, and have it follow ethereal glow options already in game, like red, pink, white, purple and voidwalker electric blue. eyecolor for the red glow body, would be red glow eyes.

They said they had no plans on making any questlines or quests to explain the new customizations, if I remember correctly.
They said no lore for new customizations, not quests for future customizations.

Do you recall what exactly was stated that you’re referring to?
They said they wouldn’t add anything on the live game to expain the new customization like (high elves on both sides/ Farraki trolls/ dark trolls/ wildhammer dwarves , more human skin tones etc).
We’re probably thinking the same quote. It led me to think they weren’t planning any quests either then.

It’s possible they decided that, because it’s basically just skin and eyes (the same as the Night Warrior package), and because Horde have no equivalent unlock for any of their races, that Blizz may give the Darkfallen options via a quest simply for the sake of parity. Fair is fair after all.
