First, it’s a list of who got most improvements, not which races got my ideal customizations.
Second, the position there is relative. Races that are in the top just got a lot more details than races bellow. It doesn’t mean everything is good at the top.
Third, tauren were the race that changed how customization was being handled. Every race before them got some enhancements but nothing major. Tauren was the first race that got a whole lot more of new categories and options.
As an example, tauren (male) got:
- 3 skin colors
- 7 eye colors
- 7 horn styles
- Facial hair split into 7 Facial Hair and 6 Hair Styles
- 5 new hair styles
- 6 new facial hair choices.
- 2 new necklace options
- 2 new headress options
- 4 new noserings
- Flower toggle
- 3 facial paint options
- 3 body paint options
- 6 paint colors
If you still want more options, it’s fine. Nothing is perfect. No one will ever be fully satisfied. But tauren were among the most improved races. That’s an objective fact.

I mean… If I get DR stuff and Scars and Facial tats, I would be fully satisfied.

Yeah, no. They’re nowhere near what the night elves got in customization options that really differentiate characters. There’s some good stuff, but they still need a lot of work.

I think Orcs got the biggest update. They easily have the most customization freedom, even when compared to Night Elves.

and dark rangers, sanlayn, felblood, light-based customizations.
and velfs need some new hairstyles and hair colors. and tat options. maybe runes. could use a few more eyecolors. i think currently we have light blue, blue or purple, total. vs core races who have pretty much the entire range of eyecolors. willing to wait as long as it happens before the globalists manage to crash the entire planet and communists close all the capitalist businesses.
Being in the same tier doesn’t mean it’s all the same. First, which ones got “better” is a totally subjective opinion. Second, the tiers are just a general grouping. Orcs, night elves and tauren all got a lot more options than the other races. Draenei are really close, and (IMO) could get to Tier S if they got a few more horn/hair decorations and an eye color selection.
There’s a huge leap between Tier S and Tier B (the ones I classified as “good”).
