This was my intent when suggesting an Ethereal wrapping skin. I forget if I suggested it in the forums or only on Discord. Either way, that’s the theme I’d want with that kind of skin, basically an Ethereal shaped like an elf, not just an elf wearing the bandages over their skin.

So just have that it worked better on a few. That way we almost have Ethereals, just with a Thalassian background instead of a K’areshi background.

I was actually looking at your idea, I like it, things I would add to it is…
Full ethereal look is ok with the face, but feels odd to have ears still.
Partial ethereal wrapping options would be cool, to show they were stopped before complete transfirmation.

Here’s a rough mockup of along the lines of what I was thinking. I wasn’t sure what to do with the ears, so I had them turn entirely into Void energy.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
One of the real problems with void elves is just how little effort, story or appearance, went into them. Hopefully they get some lorelove in the future.

That’s fair. I came up with the idea based on the fact that I don’t expect to get Ethereals as their own race, but I’d certainly welcome them as such.

Ethereals are one of the few races that if playable would directly go alliance IMO and if playable would also force devs to be more creative so I think they are a good race to root for to make playable rather than something else.
Of course in the end if that never happens a skin would be the best substitute.
For what it’s worth, it’s a pretty good picture you did, I like it.
