Got a citation on that?
Blood Elves are high elves (the race not the political faction)
This doesnât prove that high elves havenât been returning to Quelâthalas. Itâs prefectly plausible that high elves are perfectly accepted among the blood elves. Lorâthemar has on several occasions expressed interest in bringing them back into the fold.
In either case theyâre still the same people.
Why would I need a citation? Blood elves have blue eyes as a game fact, why pretend sheâs something else?
They are the same species but Blood elves changed the name of their race to Blood elves, therefore they arenât high elves anymore.
If a High Elf returns to live in quelâthalas they would become a blood elf, since the cultural/political divide is their entire separation. Otherwise High Elves are actually accepted to go to the sunwell but are still high elves and they still arenât very friendly with Blood elves.
Man⌠the divide between the two keeps getting flimsier and flimsierâŚ
Because itâs not a fact unless you can prove it.
This is an assumption. They may still have their political beliefs. They may not still have their loyalty to the Alliance though. Blood Elves do not have to drain mana to survive anymore. The only real divide is Alliance or Horde and Blood Elves are not always Horde. So it stands to reason that High Elves would not always be Alliance.
You have nothing to prove that any blue eyed elf on the Horde side would or would not be a High Elf.
Again if you ignore the part where its nothing more than a name change and they just are high elves by default.
Actually, you are wrong. If a High Elf were to return to Silvermoon, theyâd still call themselves âHigh Elvesâ, biologically-speaking. And if the High Elves are merging with both Void Elves and Blood Elves, Iâm definitely positive theyâd still refer to themselves as they did before the mergingâŚâHigh Elfâ.
Not only does it stand to reason, itâs canonical fact.
If a High Elf joined the Void Elves, theyâd gain Void powers and take the name Void Elf.
If a High Elf rejoined Quelâthalas, Iâd like to think theyâd take the name Blood Elf, since itâs a name thatâs meant to respect the fallen.
And my Void Elf Mage has Blood Elf skin tone and blue eyes⌠Therefore, sheâs a High Elf, from a Roleplaying perspective.
Thatâs fine. A player can roleplay whatever theyâd like.
Exactly, just how as this character of mine, resembles a Half-Elf Druid.
I was considering asking your toons story there⌠Iâm always afraid to ask for some reason.
I donât really see that all if being truthful.
if you see it as one of the sceret truths, youâll get it.
Out of topic but⌠Plastic Nee-san is a show that deserves more attention even with its short episodes format.
And seeing as this is a public forum, I can very well respond as I see fit too. They should refrain from making negative posts if they donât want negative responses.
To-may-to, To-mah-to, you may as well do blonde at this point, rather than some sort of mustard yellow, which again, would not fit the actual Void Elf aesthetic as it would be neither subtle nor cool.
This stinks of dumbing down a concept to keep people from something.
I disagree. None of the Blood Elf NPCs sport these tattoos, while Alleria does and she is an Alliance NPC, so if anyone should get it on account of visuals, it should be Void Elves.
They focus less on furthering their own interests and more on trying to deny someone else. This seems incredibly hollow of a goal, and quite frankly I will never respect it.
This makes no sense. Both due to the fact that theyâre not actually Ethereals, but that they only associate with a single Ethereal, so their culture would not be influenced to this degree.
Frankly we can just do natural tones then, as these infringe on Blood Elf identity as well as per your reasoning.
And again, this reeks of trying to make Void Elves inferior. Theyâd be better off with more blues and violets than this.
I like 1205, it would make for a nice cooler looking, off-white, platinum blonde.
These fit better for a Felblood appearance which is also unnatural and a concept much closer to these ideas than actual Void Elves, as the only brighter color weâve seen on anything Void associated is red, otherwise theyâre more cooler colored or pale and neon colors simply donât match their concept.
Now as far as actual Void options go, the colors Iâd wish to see would be this one for any white or violet, as I believe theyâd be too bland or repetitive on their own;

I also wouldnât mind mind the addition of these skin tones either.
And while Iâm not a fan of stark white or blue, Talendrion whipped up a lovely blue thatâs a bit closer to the mark as seen here;

He makes a lovely blue to indigo/violet gradient here, though Iâd prefer a slightly cooler/paler look to it myself, but other than that he pretty much nailed it.

This is also a nice bunch of color concepts as well and I like colors 2 and 6 here.
Color 2 is more of a subtle tone and is fairly close to the tone I use on one of my Night Elf characters. I feel it would fit both a natural and unnatural aesthetic well. I would prefer this to basic black as their new dark color.
A more paler/powdery variant of color 6 would be a great color to help set Void Elves apart from Blood Elves and still fits into the Void color wheel.

I also really like this color as well and provides more lighter blue concepts in addition to the other I suggested. I also like the more subtle streaks as seen here and in Darkspear rather than ombres.
In addition to Old God mutations I like the idea of starcursed looks, for the eyes(similar to Night Warriors), their hair seen as seen in some of Faebelinaâs art, as sheâs made some great concepts for Void Elves in general, and a starry shadow/body effect.
