I see it as damned if you do, damned if you don’t. I’ve put lots of of positive energy into this topic, which more often than not I actually don’t get back, especially from those who have no business with me in the first place.
I was a Scene Kid, I can probably imagine what you’re suggesting. Still though, I don’t feel it would be a proper fit for Void Elves in any capacity.
A violet tint for both would do wonders.
Both High Elves and Void Elves would have former Farstriders amongst their ranks though. There is virtually no reason any one group would hold any monopoly on actual tattoos, what you’re attributing any sort of monopoly to is the name and organization.
On a logistical level it dulls it a bit, being inconsistent doesn’t help them get anything.
This is your own wishful thinking. Blizzard has said virtually nothing to support this.

This is true, but it is more likely, when presented with no evidence either way, to assume the negative, rather than the change, in these sort of situations.

Blizzard hasn’t come forward and stated that any sort of final compromise has been made, though they have stated they’re open to the possibility of more High Elf options in the future as well as actually added skin tones, which was probably the most controversial option they could have added.
So if anything I would consider the opposite more likely, myself.

I’m disappointed that Blizzard didn’t take the opportunity to leverage the differences between Void Elves and Blood Elves, to be sure, but I’d argue that allowing the Night Elves to co-opt a little bit of the Nightborne’s Drow-derived aesthetic is objectively worse.
It might’ve been alright to see the Alliance (VE’s) benefit from adopting some of the aesthetic from the Horde (BE’s), if the reverse had occurred favoring the Nightborne – instead, the Alliance benefits from both and the Horde is left out to dry. 
Yeah, poor Nightborne are basically Blizzard’s punching bag at this point. Either that or they’re holding off on them completely until the AR pass because they have big plans, but somehow I doubt that.

Well to be fair people talk about it differently.
If you value the BE visual theme and want it’s uniqueness preserved, you are still talking about customization.
I think Nico was referring to the fact that the Liadrin conversation is over.

Oh that makes sense, I wasn’t sure given his stance on not seeing people who value what uniqueness BEs have left as beneficial.
So I just wanted to point out that in the end we do all care about customization still.
But this makes sense too having been just had the Liadrin conversation.

I’m honestly expecting for nightborne to maybe get some lighter skintones (even though I don’t really care for those) closer to the night elves.
I mostly want glowy-er tattoos, options to have arcane energy in the hair and maybe around the wrists/arms, hair colors/hair styles…and just a redone model with a running animation that isn’t wonky and robotic like our current one really.

I’m actually hoping that Nightborne get to co-opt some things from the Night Elves to be honest. Some hairstyles, some skin tones, the moon themed jewelry, the one male face option that isn’t totally busted, along with some unique stuff solely their own, but we’ll have to wait and see what they actually get.

I’m afraid to suggest it but I’m interested in the idea of a darker yellow. (not blonde) maybe I’ll ask Somand or Lancelot for a mock up… Once I can figure out what that yellow is called…

What I mean is if Blizz for some reason decides to only give it to one, it should be Blood Elves on account of having the actual organization.
Inconsistency never helps anyone. I’ve seen plenty of that on both sides.
In reality I think it’s less that anyone is actually inconsistent in their interests but rather we all communicate significantly differently and sometimes when heated we begin to lose clear communications.
People falling into old hatreds of one another, while I understand it, doesn’t help.
Sadly I find this accurate very often.
Honestly I don’t think they had any plans beyond what we have now.
When it was so positively received by players they realized they need to add more.
I know it’s not customization based but I also want extra colors of their heritage armor… Npcs have a maroon and gold color type armor compared to the silver purple we have now. Would love to see that expanded.
Void options I got so far:
Chin tentacles!
Starry, and n’zoth eye color.
Ethereal type wraps.
Scars that show void energy beneath the wound.
Stark White and Void Black hair color.
Violet, dark-brown-gold-yellow (I need a better name for this), maroon, near neon orange, and void(like their tentacles) hair colors.
Two tone hair color starting as a void color turning into a neon color.
Void fire effects to the hair.
Shadowy gas effects.
Third eye like Aszhara.
Tentacle toggle.
Standard scars.
Ear slider.
Tattoos. Void and farstrider.
I think… That’s all. I’m trying from memory. Lol

1235 or 0124 look kinda like what I was thinking…
A little bright but still darker shaded.
0125 might be better… A yellow but with still a level of void elf to it.
