Military leaders are promoted based on leadership ability, not how many people they can beat in an arm wrestle.

This isn’t Warhammer 40k, the blood elves weren’t in constant warfare. 100 years of the odd skirmish with some trolls isn’t the same as fighting in the Second War, fighting in the Third War and then fighting all day every day for five years.

  • Mastery of light use from her time as a High Priestess.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Decent melee experience, trained by Farstriders with five years of constant combat afterwards.

Good soldiers will listen to their leaders. That’s part of the job.
