Yeah. They’re, much like the Sunreavers, fighting on behalf of Dalaran for one side or the other.
No, it is VERY important.
They’re showing their colors are Purple and Gold. They are forces aligned with Dalaran and the SC or the Sunreavers throw their support behind the Alliance or Horde.
Your misrepresentation of the lore doesn’t help you.
(I am aware the Sunreavers are for much of that time not aligned with Dalaran.)
I’m glad most Void/High Elf fans are pleased with what they already got. I still remember prior to pre-patch when any High Elf related thread got dozens and sometimes even hundreds of posts every single day, now these type of thread at best get a bunch of posts every day.
People are finally enjoying their characters and actually playing the game again, and I’m so happy for them. 
I would never overlook the ever important T-shirt enthusiast.

He’s not 100% of High Elves. Right now if you’re making a High Elf, using Void Elf customizations, as was the intention, you’ve only got a singular High Elf hair color.
If you meant that not all High Elves use blue hair, then the wording:
