And if it’s with new hair styles, then any of said new hair styles could’ve gone to Blood Elves but went to Void Elves instead, which basically is stealing. Saying ‘the hair styles come from Alliance races so it’s fair’ doesn’t really work, since hair styles have specifically crossed faction lines in the past.

By that logic though any new hair style the Void Elves get that doens’t have Void Tentacles in it is “Stealing” from Blood Elves. Or any new hair option that Nightborne get is “stealing” something that could have went to Night Elves since they use the same model with some tweaks.

To create more difference though, i think Void/High Elves should have went a similar route as the nightborne did. While using the same model as Blood Elves, they should have tweaked some of their animations and gave them a different idle stance. I know Nightborne are a little weird looking but if done right i’d support it. That could still be something we’d see in the future if more difference is needed.

The reason Nightborne have a modified model is because it was a halfhearted attempt at bending the Night Elf model into the Nightborne model, instead of just adding player bones to the NPC Nightborne model.

Void Elves were just “Alleria is cool, let’s do that as an AR and focus on the Void theme”, so they probably didn’t see any need to modify the model.

But we never wanted void elf at all in the first place. Just give us the hair colors blood elf will still be there and this can end.

We have the skintone now might as well just give the hair colors and the fantasy will be filled at long last.

Importantly we need not waste time with this keep it to saying we want blonde and white hair with Alleria tattoos so Blizzard know what we want and not more void stuff that was never asked for.

The problem is NEs already got a NB hairstyle, they don’t look like NEs to begin with based on the model so your logic here goes out the window, and Void Elves have already stolen so if a Horde race benefits in the same way one time it would be at that point justified.

Your little gotcha moment only works if Blizzard takes the second visual theme away, and still gives NB hairstyles.

Yes I’m sure the same devs who just gave alliance players a horde race, blood/high elf exact model copy, an entire new lore with new hairstyles, haircolors that no one else has, that connects with a very popular npc simply because they’re ‘petty’ and horde biased.

I think that’s the funny part about about it. You’re “entitled” if you request reasonable customizations for the High Elf aesthetic but NOT if you try to shut down those reasonable requests

And it would be completely fair to want any future developments for Blood Elves to be more exclusive as any sort of light, fel or undead developments aren’t really applicable to Void Elves or High Elves.

The precedent to double down on RP tools as Wayfarers, would stop any potential request from HE fans of which not all are decent and you know that. There are a lot of people who seem all to happy to dismantle Blood Elves, people already want our jewelry too especially I’ve seen requests for the Silver jewelry and its always in the tone of “well we should at least get that because” they will pick at even the most unpopular things Blood Elves have left because they want everything.

I believe what’s intended by this sentiment is that Blood Elves right now have the visual theme of generic elf with generic hair. Void Elves don’t, cause we don’t have the hair.

If we get generic hair, even if it isn’t literally Blood Elf assets, it’s still stepping further into that visual theme of generic elf.

My issue with this is that we’ve seen this happen twice simultaneously with Night Elves having their Dark Elf aesthetic copied both by another Alliance race as well as across faction lines. The Blood Elf/Void Elf situation is hardly unique, so you’ll have to forgive me if I disagree with said sentiment.

I’ve yet to see a Night Elf player jealous of the fact NB have the same models and better customization.

I would argue at least Nightborne society is in a different state than Night Elf Highborne and that shouldn’t be a reason not to give NE’s Highborne things, as I have seen a fear of theme crossover.

But again Sel in this instance Blood Elves have both to be annoyed and worried about, so your analogy doesn’t even come to the same level.

Another issue that makes nightborne/night elf different to the blood elf /Void elf debate, I think, is that Void Elves have so little that differentiates them from Blood elves.

These are a people that were literally the same until 3 years ago. Their culture is barely changed and their story is minute compared to the nightborne, as Almarra was mentioning yesterday… (might have been another thread).

Factor in that many high elf pros desire is to erase void elves entirely in place of their high elves, and yeah.

It really feels like blood elves are being stolen, and getting nothing for the trouble.

If they were alliance i would race change nuallah to Nighborne, i love their customizations, i just think they have little. Nightborne options are inspired and unique, i can’t say the same about void elf options. My that’s my opinion.

And night elves don’t? Nazjatar were supposed to be our time to shine, Tyrande, Malf and all the highborne should be there fighting azshara. But blizzard pretented they don’t exist and put nighborne in our place. You have the right to feel that your race have been shafted but let’s not pretend night elves are in a best place.
