Continuation of New Customisation Options for: Void Elves, Blood Elves, & misc high elves

Unfortunately only one side is willing to admit that stereotypes are bad, the other is trying to justify it because someone’s masculinity feels threatened.

It’s just a stereotype Lann. He doesn’t want his options limited to one particular stereotype that he doesn’t like and is simply wanting more options so he can feel like he’s breaking free of that perceived forced Stereotype.

Nothing more.

It is forced when it’s the only options given when other more highly desired options are not being added.

Also you need to chill out.

What is that supposed to mean?

I think he’s referring to the fact that Blizz and the playerbase have used a bad stereotype to refer to male blood elves. As, correct me if I’m wrong, there’s a difference between a man behaving in feminine ways and just flat out saying that their men are not men. There is that history there.

I think there’s a giant gulf between say, if I, as a cis man were to complain about that, and a trans man complaining about that. I can see that being an issue (and maybe unintentional overlap with horrible talking point) if you have had really bad experiences with being stuck in the wrong body if you felt the options being presented to you were trying to railroad you into an identity you’ve had bad experiences with.

Like I said, I really think this is more confusion of terms than anything else.

Can you explain how it is forced if you have the choice to not use them please?

But feminine type males are still males, and the way you’re describing the situation is the problem. I get what you’re saying but that’s what I’m seeing every time you re state your stance.

One that joke is old and should be ignored and has no basis.

And two even if they did have more feminine aspects if I identify as a gay male I’m still valid.

Clearly the apple doesn’t fall far from the Eredar tree. Already trying to kill your own allies to fix your own faulty machines?

But the issue is stop calling it a bad stereotype some people are like that and they are valid.

Let people ask for what they want.

Ask for what you want.

Just because people ask it, doesn’t mean they’ll get it. In all likelihood we all will just have what was shown so far. Which is pretty disappointing to just about everyone.

It’s just a suggestion thread. It doesn’t pull anymore weight than that.

nah, I just need some leg or arm parts my friend, no killing needed.

It means that someone who is willing and casually throwing homophobic slurs is very telling of someones character.

Sure thing. It’s a forced stereotype when other options that are highly desired and could be added alongside these options would open up more ways for ppl to RP.

And NO one would have had a problem if you worded your complaint in this way, but you called feminine qualities on male characters disgusting with some strange rational that it offends your identity as a trans man. When, if anything, you should be supporting gender fluidity for all, and not just the ones that suit your agenda.

It’s not, when we’re still in beta and options are still being released. Makes no sense to attack another demographic because of a childish stereotype.

You get what you put out, my dear.

If you have something to say why don’t you say it to the person instead of making some kind of cryptic comment?

Yes, I think this is the best way to describe it / what I tried wording but you did a better job of.

We all want more things for BE’s at the core of it all though.

They could very well still add scars for customization options. Did they announce they are done adding customization options for BE?

(I know my joke earlier, but scaring should be an option for all races)

That’s not what I’m trying to say.

Like my next sentence there, isn’t there a difference between a feminine man and saying that a feminine man is not a man? That’s the stereotype I’m trying to refer to, ones that demean feminine men for how they behave.

But it does make plenty of sense to voice concerns regarding customizations. Which is what he is doing.

We were having a peaceful conversation and you dialed it up to a 1000, so you really do need to relax.

It’s my hope that they do, but until it occurs, who knows.

Yikes :eyes: no wonder he’s defending this hateful rhetoric. I had respect for that poster but not anymore.

Well I won’t police other members of the LGBTQ but that word is highly inappropriate for non members of the community to be using and I hope we can all agree on that at least.

But to call jewelry disgusting on the basis feminine men are disgusting is insulting to feminine men. Thats what is not lost one me in this.
