Paladin lore is super retcon now a dinosaur can give you light and the light is a universal force as good and bad as void is.
They also initially said forsaken would feel everything blah blah and then said “nah f it , they just aren’t paladins because it doesn’t fit” throwing the old explanation away.
Also paladins being naturally immune to undeath and curses was also retconed.
