So i keep being put on the last boss of Plains, Halondrus, in raid finder que, and now, because im not fighting the same boss over and over when i have stuff to do, I have been handed a 30 min abandon timer for leaving to que again. So two qiues, as dps, which means 20-30+ mins waits, plus now a ban from queing, no way to seemingly get a gm and see if i can get this flag removed so i can que again. The que putting people into in progress wings can be bad enough in wasting time, but it absolutely should not be putting people back into parts they have cleared, and punishing the player for leaving that instance is wasting more of thier time for something that is blizzards fualt.
A GM cannot remove that buff.
If you just completed that raid, the system is designed to give you an optimal chance to get a fresh raid with your next group.
As for how the system works, if you would like to provide feedback on it, the Dungeons and Raids forum is the best place for it.

I do recall there being a bug with this, I want to say it popped up with 9.2 (or 9.2.5?). But that it was not working like it was supposed to be, giving a heightened chance for a fresh run after a partial one. You will want to post this over in the Bug Report forum so the devs know that it is still an on-going issue. Unfortunately as this forum is one for players to help other players, no Devs or GMs come here. And because GMs cannot fix bugs or remove the debuff, a ticket would not do you any good either, I’m afraid.
It’s never “guaranteed”. As Perl said, it gives a much higher chance, but if the Raid Finder needs are different, it may happen.
That’s not to say it’s definitely working perfect. There could be an issue.

Did that through the in game systems, im just kinda livid that im wasting my day off being punished for leaving a que on a last boss ive done, and gotten three times in a row for that wing. So im putting the issue in multiple places because honest, i have other things i could be doing in game and out, but i want to get this done, i missed a week on progress on the quest subbing in my tank over my dps for my raid, i figure its my day off, ill get this done, nope.
Sure i need it that first time, but that still means queuing that wing again as dps, which is and of its self a 20-30 min wait. throw in that it put in in a in progress on another wing and killed that one that i had to que again for because of the abandoned timer as well and well to be honest getting the abandon has me more upset then anything.

Which is fine, but doing it blindly can be construed as spam. There are proper places for it, but venting here for the sake of venting won’t get you very far. Again, you’re only speaking to us, your fellow players. No staff comes here outside of the SFAs, so your issue gains no traction on this particular forum. I am sorry though, that there isn’t a fix or anything to offer.
Theres a very good reason why theres a debuff before they added it in WOD players would hold the group hostage if the group woudlnt do the extra boss of daily and sometimes a group wouldnt kick them blizzard had to put in a penalty and change how the dungeon dailies worked to deter this.
the issue isnt that there is a abandon mechanic, its that im being slapped with it for leaving when im repeatedly qued for the last boss on the wing that i have killed, im being punished for not doing a boss that i have done, and im sitting at because of factors i have zero control over. but as has been mentioned in my annoyence i have picked not the best place to put it.
Honestly in the ammount of time spent spamming the forums you couldve kept do the raid till u got a fresh run I get ur frustration i realy do trust me back in MOP 9x/10 every heroic i would get was shadopan monestary gaurenteed Random my butt.
No, the penalty is for abandoning the group. Nothing more. Unfortunately, the system is almost a necessary evil. It doesn’t know why you bailed, only that you didn’t stay.
In the past, before the debuff, people held groups captive and made crazy demands etc.
I can get why people don’t like receiving it, but I’ve yet to see a better system suggested. One that also discourages people from abandoning random content that they’ve queued for.

It seems to be a short-sighted change they made some time this expansion.
when the system keeps putting me there and then i leave the group because i have done that last boss of the wing, and it keeps putting me there, yes im essentially being punished for not doing that boss over and over, with the flag because i left the group, unless the expectation is i do that boss over and over again with zero reward and nothing but spent time, because ill be punished for not doing it because that involves leaving the group which is what im really being punished for. which in the end is the same thing
You might feel that way, but the system isn’t going out of it’s way to “punish” you. You’re abandoning the group though and the system does understand that. It just doesn’t care why.
To be frank, it feel very much like you’re basically doing this to yourself as you’re refusing to kill a boss you did before and leaving group repeatedly. Not much can be done as the system is set in place to give a debuff to folks whom leave groups before a boss, for them, is killed.
a boss i have downed this week, as in i have no possible loot, no count towards the quest, just to clerfiy if your under the impression im saying ive killed it period and just dont want to kill it this week
