So, hear me out. The current expansion as of right now, we are capped at LV120, and any content 20 levels beneath us we can pretty much crush like a paper cup.
Warlords of Draenor had a LV cap of 100, which is 20 levels beneath us right now. We can easily solo mythic LV100 content at LV120.
Now, we’ve been told that the level squish will NOT affect our relative power, and I will put that to the test.
Our level will be essentially be divided by 2.4, and since anyone who is LV120 now will become LV50 when prepatch hits. Using this same math, we can determine that the new LV cap of 60, multiplied by 2.4 gives us a level equivalent of 144 of the current expansion.
That being said, we should easily be able to solo mythic BfA content at LV60 equipped in rares or better. It won’t be for a while, but that’s what I want to test. The effective level difference is 24 levels by current expansion levels, 10 Shadowlands levels.
Thoughts?
Ummmm…can you solo mythic legion raids now?

As a mage, I’ve not tried Mythic Legion at LV120, since that content is LV110, you don’t get a power bonus.
some fights can still be trouble for certain classes/specs.
shadowlands will complete remove such things once they remove the mechanics from the fight or nerf them enough since it’s considered legacy content already.
we’re being limited by some bosses mechanics now… maybe damage too on some fights.

I like your thoughts. 20 levels trivializes Mythic content. 2.4 levels becomes 1 level. So 8.3 levels should trivialize Mythic content in Shadowlands, no?
Yes. I’ve done a few of them.

Everything is going to be scaled.

lets hope that they dont take some years to make eonar fight actually soloable and remove knockback effect from bosses such as aggramar and mythic kj orbs.
OMG mythic nighthold the three botanists will just root and one shot. I’m sure there’s a trick to it but I’ve died to that guy even in lfr and there’s zero telegraph just boom one shot. Lucky for me I don’t think they actually drop anything I need so I’ve been skipping them.
on live or on PTR ?
If it’s on live, YOu only need to hit hard and strong. Or have good burst, and so one. if it’s on ptr, the legacy loot sistem is broken
Yes, with exceptions.
Solo’d all of Mythic NH except for Botanist and Gul’dan (who needs two people or a spec that can negate the first magic ability).
It’s possible to solo some bosses in Mythic Antorus, but not all.
Mythic Emerald Nightmare is a complete joke.

I can solo everything but Mythic Nighthold (only Guldan gives me issues), Mythic Tomb, and Mythic Antorus.
I’m a DH too, so I wouldn’t be surprised if any other classes struggled more.
But I can also solo every single normal Uldir boss up to Zul, so it might also be based on mechanics instead of raw mongo damage.

Haven’t tried yet, but I was reading somewhere the other day that it is doable. Probably not for all classes.

The last time they shrinked primary stats and health it took years to kill bosses at timewalking dungeons. You didn’t die but it took much longer to kill them.
I think that’s what will happen when they remove corruption and legion legendary bonuses.
Usually by the last patch of one expansion, the raids of the previous are soloable for normal. The ultimate end of that expansion may allow for the hardest difficulties to be soloable for most players/classes. We’re seeing that with Antorus now, but some fights are still difficult due to mechanics and the need for multiple characters. That will be nerfed sometime in Shadowlands, I’m sure.
They may or may not screw up the balance at the start though.
I think it was during Legion, we had a stat squish and Garrosh started hitting like a truck.

Tbh I didn’t even think of that… Like all the previous 10 levels are being reduced to 5 levels so in theory, if the level cap were not being reduced we would actually be leveling to 140 because 50 - 60 is 10 levels and like i said 10 levels become 5.
Mythic Emerald Nightmare is easy. I can solo all, but Gul’Dan in Nighthold. Trial of Valor is easy, but the first boss takes a bit solo. Tomb I haven’t tried all of them, but I’m going to assume I can’t solo the last 3. Antorus I haven’t tried, but know some of the mechanics I won’t be able to get pass.
The last time they had a level squash they said the exact thing til you reached the dungeon and the dungeon were still the same,so you go right ahead and try. I 'll wait. Numbers are a strange mix of ah-uh moments and true terror .
Use a free action potion and kill arcanist first.
