Content soloing hypothesis

When I tried doing Mythic Nighthold on the PTR, the trash mobs had more health than me and killed me at the very front gate.

In Live, they have 1/5th of my HP and can’t even scratch me. Have a feeling there’s going to be some weird stuff.

Blizzard always uses a cursed monkeys paw. What they say or intend ends up being different than what happens. Warlords regular mobs had more health than legion ones when they did the last scaling.

I will try that next time I’m in there I had a feeling arcanist was the dude but the potion I somehow forgot was a thing.

I did this with the BfA stat squish.

At the height of Legion power, even with that Light Judgment Cannon, it would take my VDH about 2 minutes to kill the toughest rares.

As I progressed through BfA: every now and then I’d go back to fight those rares … and last time I checked (before Corruption came out), it took me less than 30 seconds to kill any one of them.

Bluzz was true to its word then. Let’s hope they continue that into SL.

Depends on the raids. Some are simply impossible due to mechanic interactions.
I think all of Nighthold for example is reasonably soloable, Guldan is the only real problem encounter.

I’ve heard of some DHs/Pallies doing Antorus with the exception of bosses like hounds which require 2 minimum.

Realistically though players are a lot more geared than they would be start of expansion and scaling has been nuts in BfA.

There’s one flaw with your assertion. SL lvls are not being affected by the squish. Since they are not being divided by 2.4 you don’t get to multiply them by 2.4.

Is there documentation on that? I had a hypothesis, not a theory.

This is why lions share of play time is there. I fear for how this would go the first weeks to months of SL start. So I get my mog runs in now.

Thing is worst case all expacs could be like this since the now 50 cutoff. If scaling is truly equal here even TBC will be viewed the same as legion.

When the content is considered legacy, Blizzard put a buff when you enter the raid, your level does not matter.

It certainly does.

During wod, any 100 could solo Firelands. Now, even the best equipped 100 twink with better-than-mythic gear can’t kill bosses.

9.01 PTR is here, we can test it instead of speculating.

Not antorus!

Scaling only affects dungeons and world content. That scaling also turns off once you hit 50 and things will work similarly to how it works now.
