If they can’t go to the auction house buy algari gear instead of wearing Dragonflight quest gear, then yes. They do not deserve a good experience. People with 4 million HP and zero versatility do not deserve a good experience.
We are like 83 years into this expansion and nobody should be in trash gear.
This is why we have so few new players even wanting to touch pvp… Most people aren’t going to spend gold on gear they can get for free by playing the content designed to give you that gear. You being a toxic gatekeeper isn’t helping anything. Go play league or something if you if you are going to be this way.

No. That’s absolutely NOT free. You get graveyard camped and hate your character, and hate being on the team with people that have gear. Then you quit. That’s not free. That’s shackled and dumb. When you can actually just take your *%% to the auction house and buy a full set of gear with gold you got from easily leveling up to 80.
There are people who have not been playing since season launch.
So yes there will be undergeared people all expansion long even if you go “buy green pvp gear” it still doesn’t even hold a candle to people in full gear. The honor gear is 626 the conquest gear is 639 thats almost 10 - 15 ilvls.
And the badges they give you only allow you to make 2 non expensive conquest crafted peices.

Because of toxic gatekeeping sync exploiters. Hence why people want better team balance.
Why on earth would they hate being on a team with gear?

Expect not. Specially early on in the expansion people overcharge for the bad gear. On my server most pieces are 5k or more so not sure where you are getting this 10k for a whole set stuff. Weapon is usually a lot more.
Random Battlegrounds isn’t called "Lets get 200 Honor per Hour’. The word Random doesn’t mean “get gear while losing and throwing matches” either. There’s absolutely zero excuse for people to not have gear the very moment they enter ANY PvP. Even unrated. Only braindead bots play without gear. You get enough gold for TWO sets of gear just from leveling to 80. WITHOUT quests.
There are no new players at all by the way. That’s a delusion. Just scum making alts over and over without paying 10k for some algari gear.
