So after healing many teamfights on my priest and being top healer in nearly every single one.
I’ve noticed that these consumables are completely unbalanced.
Why is there a saltwater potion which is a flat 30% buff to all damage dots included but yet there is no healer equivilient that increases healing done by 30%? The only thing you have is a damage taken reduction potion which doesn’t even get you the 30% amount.
So no wonder healing these teamfights seems like a uphill battle all the time. Its cause it is.
I still hold to my belief that if you put rated bg consumable regulations onto randoms they would be infinitely better overnight.
You may hold this position all you’d like, the problem is that the two brackets are different and separated for various reasons more than the reasons for consumables.
The simple fix to this is add a potion that you can earn, buy, or get through boxes that matches or mirrors the damage one.
I think we’ve already resorted to trolling. Thats brutal
Yes
I mean why would you have randoms be this unbalanced mess when you could fix it by just turning on rated pvp rules. Its not like its some massive undertaking.
I guess people outside rated don’t deserve a good experience.
10% to 5 players. It’s not 30% for you, but 10% from all sources for the same duration as saltwater potions.
I mean it really should be though. Fights need to end. Healing is more about being ahead of the enemy healers than keeping your team alive forever.
If the enemy team pops every offensive and your guys don’t wall, you probably shouldn’t be able to keep everyone healthy. They can also potion of defiance of third wind pot as a counter to saltwater. Living through offensive cooldowns is a group effort.
I feel like the only real issue comes down to how classes are designed, especially with hero talents. Too many modifiers mean that when the stars align, partially through RNG, you get absurd burst.
Healers are generally considered the most powerful role there is now. If you dont like consumables you may play Arena and Rated BGs.
Saltwater potions, if used well, may help you get a kill you’re looking for, or maybe the target uses defensives or the healer just keeps them topped. Saltwater potion isnt going to ensure a kill, but it helps.
If consumables and other things weren’t available for unrated pvp, I’d have zero reason to ever do a random battleground again. I have little reason to do them as is.
I actually agree with Snowcrest. Rated PvP is the least played form of PvP in World of Warcraft. Why? Because it’s boring. If anything - I’d suggest turning consumables on for Rated PvP (BG Blitz.)
Maybe more people would actually be interested in the cesspool.
