Haven’t been able to play yesterday or today due to disconnections. Others are being dc’d too so it’s not a ME ISSUE. A thread in TECH SUPPORT isn’t being looked at by Blizzard, thought I would try here. help?
Unfortunately individual disconnect issues can be hard to diagnose. There are several things you can try in the knowledge database to optimize your connection, and learn what is supported as far as connections to the game involve.
Some players being disconnected is not unusual. If it becomes a regional issue where everyone can not connect, that is monitored by a team at GNOC, global monitoring, but when this happens a thread can reach 200 replies pretty quickly, like last week when some hardware failed and it was a regional event.
The support pages, tech and customer, are mainly player discussion, no Blizzard post is guaranteed. Blizzard does not directly provide technical support for individual connections, has not for about 2.5 years as they only provide access to content and do not control the route your connection has to take on the internet.
Unfortunately the post your provided in tech do not provide sufficient details. Like what areas you are losing connection in, what ISP, what area you connect from, Wired/Wireless.
I see a few, but one you posted in did not have connection issues, but was crashing. It does not help to say me too in a thread that is not related.
check the forums, it’s not just me.
I believe that’s a misunderstanding. The CS forum is an infomation desk, or front desk. This forum isn’t able to help with tech/connection issues.
We can understand that, but people disconnect all the time, for any number of reasons and not all of them from the same cause.
While we don’t have Technical staff that will usually be able to reply in the Technical Support forum we do have various staff that look to that forum to collect information on trends that they are seeing.
So, if there is a wider issue that is impacting folks, that is the best place to post. Providing specifics like ISP, area of the country, etc… path pings (or whatever tech stuff is needed now), etc.. There are people in that forum that are pretty tech savvy and who can help troubleshoot.
