When I searched the topic, I didn’t realize where it was. It was retail. It happens all the time.

I’m two days in a row of no disconnects, I dont know if it’s related or I have been lucky, but here’s what I did.

In battle.net launcher settings, set it so when you open a game the launcher closes entirely. I just noticed the launcher was always disconnected as well and gave it a try.

It’s a little annoying but if it works it works, no guarentee though. May just be a lucky couple days for me.

I continue to get this everyday for hours on end. As a guild master, it makes it difficult to pay attention to chat and recruit for the new season. For the love of god, please fix this lol

I dont think its an Addon issue, i think blizzard just sucks. Crazy how a company that makes so much money cant keep their stuff running correctly for more than 5 seconds. Definitely on their end.

Just d/c’d today and lost my warrior in HC due to Blizzard

Couldnt log back in for about 2-3 minutes

By then I was dead

Internet never went down, 100% blizzard server d/c’ing me

Servers went down for a mass disconnect on September 2nd. 100 people died instantly. Logged in the Deathlog addon.

At 12:10am on 9/7/24, another mass disconnect. My entire guild discord is going nuts trying to confirm whether their characters died or not. No one can log back in. as of yet (12:22am EST).

Was tanking in BRD and was kiling a pack before Bael’Gar. 15 seconds into killing a pack of mobs I disconnected. For some reason my pally healer didn’t disconnect and the mobs instead all started chasing him instead while I was disconnected. Luckily I survived and hearthed out but our warlock buddy wasn’t since when he logged in the mobs have already patted back to the place we were fighting. Man people dying in Hardcore gives me Sword Art Online vibes.

need to face the facts, disconnects has destroyed hardcore for the most part, people will reroll on a dumb mistake death most times, but dying because of some random dc is too much to stomach.

Still no disconnects ever since I implemented this.

Idk what Youngkodo did to fix it but I been randomly dcing since the end of dragonflight. I DC about 5 or 12 times in one session. I was in LFR and tanking and DCed 5 times in one fight. We can see how that’s a problem right?

I disabled all addons and still random DC.

I did a ping test to blizz services and there is a lag (hickup) along the route to their servers so I blame blizz and I will be requesting a refund every month this continues to to happen.

I HAVE GOD INTERNET SO IT’S NOT MY FAULT

Yea, this happened to me last night. Lost my 24 mage as I waited 5 minutes for the launcher to start working again.

So you do understand that Blizzard doesn’t own or decide what hops you take to get from your computer to their servers. If you’re seeing a lag (hiccup) as you describe, thats essentially the internet, and you’re hitting a router outside the control of either your provider or Blizzard most likely.

Your best bet on that is to reach out to your internet provider and provide them the trace information and see if they can identify and contact the owner of the router thats having the problem so it can be fixed, you could also reach out to Blizzard, but I suspect they wont reach out to a 3rd party on your behalf. Good luck with your refund request.

second day in and i’m getting dc after dc. i’m even tempted to go back to my old server since this keeps happening (might not even be server based, but never had this much disconnection when i was on area 52)

This thread has made me realize the disconnects happening in hardcore have to be from this neglected issue.

When i did play hardcore, ive never disconnected as much in my entire life playing this game since like…maybe 1.4, than i did playing hardcore classic.

It was so bad i though blizzard intentionally msde the servers worse. I guess in some ways thats true.
