I keep getting some sort of DC or lag that allows my character to continue moving on the screen on my client-end, but I can’t mount or anything because there is obviously a disconnect between my end and the server, but it does not log the character out (as it should). So, I have had to manually close the client because the game is unresponsive, but my character remains logged-in to the server and won’t go offline until the 30-minute AFK auto-log. This has happened twice now and it’s becoming increasingly frustrating because I know it’s probably going to happen again. I don’t understand why there is a disconnect client-side that is not being understood by the server to log the character out. Any help I can get on this would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Hey guys, I just wanted to post here that there is a Blizz response in the CS support forum on a thread about this topic as well that it appears to be a server desync (when real time actions from the client side does not input to the server, which is why you can move but & see chat but can’t mount, spellcast, etc.) and that they have been looking into it. Hopefully by tomorrow’s maintenance they will have it full resolved.

I’m having the same problem

If that’s the case, then I wonder if they’re having issues with their login servers, and if so, then hopefully when they fix that the problem should stop.

Everyone from my party froze while looting, we were able to speak/complain in chat about this but that was about it.
Had to hard close WoW, loging out would not work to leave group/dungeon… Ugh

Same. Happens almost immediately after I log in on any character

This has happened specifically to two toons when in the Vault of Wardens, now. Both times after looting the first boss in the instance.

Same issue reporting here.
Random disconnects from being able to use abilities or interact with the game.
Also prevented completion credit for a Theater event.

Also happening here after maintenance today, logging onto another character on your account does not help restore access to the character who disconnected.

Having the same issue, and when in Time Walking, we were able to kick the player so they didn’t get a debuff but when we queued for another healer they were unable to teleport to the dungeon.

Has happened to me while: Looting rare spawns in Hallowfall, looting bosses in Timewalking, and upon completion in a delve (no looting).
Hopefully this hotfixed soon, its quite annoying how long the characters get stuck.

Same issue here - I can log in with an alt though I haven’t tested for how long. Just waiting for 30 minutes now but this shouldn’t be a thing - it is 2025 after all. Hard kill game as could move around but no other “control” actions.
