Having issues with consistent stuttering in game for 2+ months now.
The stutters happen every 5-10 seconds and recovers after 1-2 seconds.
During the stutters, My FPS drops by about 20-50+ (depending on max foreground setting) at 240FPS during the stutter i drop to around 197FPS
I have tested without any Addons, clean GPU driver install from Nvidia without the App, a bunch of different in game settings swapped based on recommendations. I also followed all recommendations from blizzard support but i can’t resolve the issue.
Laptop: Lenovo Legion 7i Gen 9
OS: Windows 11
CPU: Intel i9-14900hx
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070(laptop GPU)
RAM: 32 GB (16gb x 2)
Your laptop will most likely be pulling max power on both the CPU and GPU (well technically depending on which is the bottleneck). You’re likely running into thermal throttling on one or both of those devices. Also, since it’s a laptop, it also has to juggle charging the battery and powering the CPU/GPU/etc, even while plugged in. Being plugged in doesn’t mean it’s an automatic pass-thru for the power.
Cap your frame rate to a reasonable level. There’s no need to play an MMO at anything higher than 120-144 fps.
Play with it capped to 120 or something for a bit and see if it does it again.
