Considering Some Semi-weekly World Quests Becoming Daily

The renown farm is supposed to take months to finish, changing the WQs to daily they would have just lowered the rep rewards from them.

They can always adjust the numbers. Just how they did when changing patterns within patterns to a weekly.

Of course having a bi-weekly is better since you don’t have more opportunities to miss rep, except if you just don’t play. I prefer weekly since I binge all weekly play on weekend. But it’s easy to see why people are like pulp fiction john travolta standing around wondering where stuff is at.

LOL… 10 hours? How about 8? 6? 4? 2? It doesn’t matter how much a person plays, WQs provide not only provide something to do, but serves as one of the primary means to making progress in the game, on multiple platitudes.

You want gear? WQ can help. You want resources? WQ can help. You want gold? WQ can help. You want to make progress to improve rep so you can actually buy gear and progress your profession? WQ is, at this moment, the only optimal option.

I don’t don’t do PVP or do dungeons (of any level) beyond what I need, just like most players, and we are stuck with nothing to do because everything else we could be doing is locked behind mechanics that require progress in a manner only WQs can provide efficiently.

There’s always genesis motes and SL mounts to farm kek

How are you that daft? It’s not slowing anything down from what it already was. There was ZERO need for daily world quests

It was known going in long ago that WQ were going the way of the buffalo. That’s either a reading comprehension problem, or sheer laziness on your part. Either way it’s a you problem.

“There was ZERO need for daily world quests”

Please explain the rationale behind that. Profession progression is limited to the fact that the plans/patterns/ect needed to grow your profession is locked behind reps, and these reps only have one optimal means of improvement; WQs.

The issue with changing the WQs is that they introduced NOTHING as a replacement. They could have at least re-introduced rep-tabards, people can run dungeons. They could have introduced large mobs in multiple areas that could be farmed for rep and change exchangable items (for rep) to be dropped by creatures relevant to each faction (such as gnolls droping items for tuskarr turn ins for rep).

All this literally did was slow down the progression SIGNIFICANTLY for daily players or do nothing to help non-daily, casual players.

Perhaps consider the reason why perhaps “casuals” are unsubbing in the first place, when the game keeps being catered to hardcore instance runners and pvpers with no avenue of “casual” or solo players to see progress in the game, no invention of Visions of N’Zoth in the base game/end game, then you see an issue. Why remain subbed to a game that ignores the needs of a portion of their playerbase.

This isn’t the era of WoW being King anymore as well were it was the only MMO and the best MMO out there.

But these world quest changes are meaningless to keep casuals retained. As soon as raiding and Mythic+ open up, the same elitism comes out and the M+ score will start to push out casual players from getting groups.

Activities like Torghast were the best option for retaining players, something Dragonflight is sorely lacking.

I don’t think Torghast, but something more similar to Visions of N’Zoth that were both soloable but you could challenge yourself to harder modes if you want. That is something from BFA they should have implemented further upon and need to relook at the overall end game design as a whole.

WQs don’t need to be daily for more rep gains, they could just leave them as semiweekly but buff the rep gains from each one.

FWIW I’m an uber-casual solo player. I don’t do group content, because reasons.

WQs were something I was looking forward to doing daily once I get to 70, & if I can’t do them daily, I’ll have to find something else to do. I can do that, I’m sure, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to take options away.

I think the “OMG I have to log in every day to do them” claim is nonsense.

It is the biggest hogwash idea that has come out of this mess especially with the removal of AP grinds associated with said quests.

I agree with that, but now you can see the issue here then; They didn’t do that. They didn’t that or introduce anything that makes up for the lack of WQs. But still circles back to the fact that there was no arguable reason to change it to begin with because no one was being forced to do WQs.

For the casual, every other day player, yeah, this might benefit them because they only have to play once every three days, but that leaves nothing for the daily player to do, especially considering how many of their options/progressions are tied to needing that rep gain.

I hope they toss in daily WQ with the reset just to mess with this mess on the forums.

How are YOU that daft??? Ya dafty bugger

but they dont understand. its like the no flying crowd. they dont want flying. BUT they dont want you to fly either.

they dont want wq everyday but they dont want you to have them either. they are just trolls. blizzard is making the change regardless and that is a good thing for the players and the game.

they can no go cry in a corner because they dont have to do them. they can still do them every 3 days. nothing is stopping them.

Clear you are the one that is sheerly lazy. Did you just call me shirly?

They can just mix World Quest, some being bi-weekly others being daily. Thing is larger and larger block of players care nothing about group play of Mythic + or Raiding anymore. If this game is to survive another 5 years. It needs to start tossing a bone to the casual player.

As far as the spastic player that has to try to do every little thing every single day. That is their own bad medicine and lack of self-control.

so taking away even MORE from the solo players I hear? NOW, I gotta make a ‘schedule’ of when something is up for me to do in game? (once I get all the questing done OC)

If I wanted to ‘schedule’ my in game time, I would raid or dungeon…no thx

I like the WQ DAILIES…every single day…no one make anyone do anything in game…but it DOES give me something to do.

wow…just…sad & disappointed
